Personally, I do not care if someone is Right or Left, Democrat or Republican, Liberal, Moderate, or Conservative.
I only worry about how I as a Citizen is being Represented by Who I voted for.
I will never forget the Story about a Black Man from Texas who was elected and wanted to do some good. He was told in No uncertain terms that if He want to be there long dont screw with us. He lasted one term. He couldnt put up with the crap.
I still beleive in Term Limits, but that has to be past by guess who, DAH!

Hah
Harry Reid isn't giving back the dirty money.
Richard J. Durbin is saying he's gonna give it back.
Hillary Clinton is giving $2,000 of it to New York charities.
Mitch McConnell is giving $18,500 to a Christian mission.
Senator John Thune is giving $2,000 to the White Buffalo Calf Woman Society.
It seems that both parties, and people very high up are involved. People are, in a sense admitting, it's dirty money and giving it up, except not entirely (how nobel). And the people that suffered the most are the Native American tribes which lost any influence they had and hope to get since taking tribal money won't be stylish for a while.
Lobbyists will always be there and people will always take their money. Every time it's legislated, a loophole is exploited.

There's great irony in this typo, in that Alfred Nobel created his awards (of the same name, obviously) out of a sense of guilt for his inventions - except his endowment was a small percentage of his total worth. Nothing like absolving guilt through small-time giving - it's gone on for years. What a f-ing joke.

Isnt that the truth!
The Elected Position has become a Vocation by many if not all ionstead of an avocation.
Scratch My Back and I will Scratch Yours.
Of Course Newt GumBall has to step up to the plate and say Delay should be hung out and His Majority Leadership should be opened up for a newbie. Newt is a great one to talk and wants to run again. Hell, He ought to run alright!
This is why Term Limits will never happen. They vote and We as Citizens dont. The only Vote We have is to Vote against them. The problem is there are a lot of sheep who vote and are Non Thinkers.
Well, lets see how this thing plays out and for how long.

I heard that the Dems are quizzing Alito about privacy, abortions, and strip searching 10-year-old girls,
and the Republicans are asking him about prison terms for bribery.

Just kidding. Really.

See, the joke was that the Democrats all want to do those things they're asking about, and the Republicans want to do the things they're asking about.
