So it's a collective "Caveat Emptor" to the national that colonizes them, i suppose? But Sorority life 2003 would have been filmed in 2002 or 2001...which would mean that many of those girls are out of the active chapter, no? We talk about how a chapter's personality can change over time, shouldn't these girls be given the same consideration? I hope that the presenters will consider the *present* chapter, and not what they know from MTV...because after all, it IS MTV.

I know. But SKEPi references are fun on snowy Friday afternoons.

Wow I didn't even know EWU had locals. You think being an hour away we'd know about this. I had no idea they ripped off Sigma Kappa either, 33Gilr/BetaRose if you'd like to send me a PM I'd be interested to hear about it.
I was thinking the same thing about becoming an NPC chapter, and women that were involved in "Sorority Life" would have graduated by now, so perhaps it has all been put in the past.

So how does that work with the second chapter? Do they remain a local? That would make it interesting.........
VandalSquirrel, I think all of the NPC groups at EWU came from locals. I know that our chapter there was originally one.

Am I missing something? I don't see anything that would lead me to think they were trying to rip off SK.

It's because their website's changed since they became a part of DZO.
When they were still Beta Epsilon Sorority, you would've been appalled to see their sorority info. Everything, and I mean everything...was Sigma Kappa. Their colors, their symbols, their mascot...heck even their motto!

I didn't think they still had locals, I thought every group had affiliated with a national group. I think either the person who told me was confused, or I misunderstood them.

This local would have come on after all the former locals affiliated, which seems weird that the University would have allowed that to occur if they pushed for the locals to originally go national.

Me neither, though I'm almost curious. You know, like when you see a car accident and you can't look away.

I don't know if this has been posted somewhere else or not, but the University of Nevada-Reno is open for expansion. They will choose the presenters in February, and the presentations will be made in late March/early April. The colonization will take place in the Fall of 2006.
