More Extensions at 3 Universities
The following 3 Universities are opening up for extension & I am proud to say that Sigma Kappa has been invited to present at all 3. Alas I do not know the other sororities that have been invited to present as well but if anyone has that info, it would be greatly appreciated.
University of Buffalo in Amherst, New York. This school already has Alpha Epsilon Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, and Alpha Phi. SK will be presenting on Dec. 6-7 Duquesne Universit in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The other NPC chapters there are Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Phi, Alpha Sigma Tau, Delta Zeta, Gamma Phi Beta, and Zeta Tau Alpha. SK will present on Dec. 9 Marquette University. Pi Beta Phi, Alpha Xi Delta, Alpha Chi Omega and Alpha Phi are already established there. Presentation for SK is on Dec. 5 I want to say good-luck to all sororities that will be presenting. Hopefully, we'll hear the results soon. |
Good luck to SK. We presented at Marquette yesterday and we think that it went pretty well.

SLU panhel has been dicussing and voting recently on expansion. They just recently passed to expand in 2007. I don't know what this means exactly in terms of a timeline for how things will happen, but it's pretty exciting!
The sororities here now are: Alpha Delta Pi Delta Gamma Gamma Phi Beta Kappa Delta Sigma Kappa |
Our official announcement came out today that we are colonizing at Virginia Tech in January.
Alpha Gamma Delta Announces Colonization at Virginia Tech International Council is pleased to announce that Alpha Gamma Delta will be colonizing at Virginia Tech beginning in late January 2006. The opportunity to colonize early next year is the result of a decision made several years ago to invite three National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) groups to colonize at Virginia Tech. It is now Alpha Gamma Delta's turn to start a colony! Virginia Tech, a campus with more than 21,000 full-time undergraduate students, is located in Blacksburg, Virginia, which is approximately 40 miles southwest of Roanoke. It has a very strong Greek community that is well supported by the university. There are currently 12 NPC groups at Virginia Tech. Chapter total is 85, and the average chapter size last year was 123. The All Women Greek grade point average for the 2004-2005 academic year was 3.201. A small team of Alpha Gamma Delta volunteers and staff members has made its first visit to Virginia Tech, where it met with members of the college Panhellenic, university personnel, Alpha Gamma Delta alumnae and others. The team members are unanimous in their enthusiasm about the campus and their excitement about our colonization. |
