I read in the Charlotte Observer, that it's no longer "bling"...It's "Iceing" according to Diddy.

But then again, I've never actually said "bling" in my life.

For some reason, I always hated the term bling bling.

Shoot according to Diddy? He can't even decide what his name is - someone should tell him only Prince can do stuff like that & he had a good reason.

Here's one I haven't heard:

Yes! I hear people say that all the time. I even use it from time to time.

barking a la Arsenio Hall (I haven't seen anyone "woof it up" in years)
nobody should raise the roof anymore
raise the roof
da bomb
in da house (but I thought "in da building" was dying out)

Because so many people say it, I'm tired of hearing, "Now that's what's up." Again...

I'm guilty of using this phrase.

Oh snap, I still say dang. I mean... Wow, I still say dang - and "Oh snap".

Signs of getting old.

I always thought that say word was something off of "word is bond".

I also still say dang. My BF makes fun of me cause I do.

I took it to be another way of saying, "for real."

I think dang is timeless slang as the alternative to d_mn.

SAY WORD

yeah "say word" is a spin off of "your word is your bond" so if you "say word" you are asking the person who just made the statement to reinforcing the fact that what they are saying is truth.

It is a phrase still used today...my boys back home in CT still use this term all the time...

Cool Points (we did this in college - if someone fell, etc. we'd say "give up all yo cool points", or just "cool points").
stankadank (I used this in the Delta thread and proceeded to say it to one of my friends. She promptly let me know it was outdated. Oh well.... "cool points".

He said "Cool Points"!

I'll also tease him about this in the other forum.

Shot Out- meaning crazy or ridiculous

I think Shout Out needs to die for good
What was up with that whole calling each other "god" ???

Sisters, let's PLEASE stop calling each other B*****'s

Say Word was one of my favorite terms, I had a friend from New York who "put me on" to it
