I adore the "shirt off my back" one. Ooo memorabilia chair......? (hehe, I'm living with her!).

hmm...

"Tau Delta...We're not Lesbians.
No. Really. "
hehe, some way, some how, the popular image of Tau Delta is lesbians. People have outright asked me, "aren't you guys the lesbian sorority?" . Oddly enough, we don't have a single lesbian in our sorority. We get a kick out of it though, and joke about the topless pillowfights we have before we paddle eachother with our founder's paddle.

to go along with that, perhaps...
"Don't be mad because the lesbians beat you."
or...

I've see one that said "If you're an XYZ, raise your hand" instead...

My chapter of initiation did the "Gamma Phi Beta...because class isn't just something you attend" shirts.

My boyfriend's fraternity did something for a jungle theme shirt one year, they had Tarzan on the front swinging through their letters, and the back said "It's hard to be humble when you're king of the jungle!" which could also be fun for ADPi, Phi Mu, SAE...

One year for bid day, we did shirts that said "I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints, the SINNERS are MUCH more fun."

Yeah, but that makes you sound like a bunch of b****es... no offense... but it just sounds really bad as an introduction to your new pledges

It's got a bit of a double meaning..we're the smallest chapter on campus, and therefore people think we don't exist. Psshh. Whateva

Actually a lot of these ideas sound that way.

Some of you who actually get these shirts made... it's your choice... but I hope to never hear you complain about your chapter's reputation on campus. Not even just to other students but to professors and other university officials and staff.

Or hear any of them bitching on the boards about how people are anti-Greek.

I think these shirts are funny and hey if your campus enjoys stuff like that ok, but in most places, like my campus, you'd get laughed at, made fun of, and most likely hated even more.

Recruitment shirts on our campus generally don't get too out of hand.

It's the Greek Week shirts you have to watch for. But since everyone is either helping each other out for a cause or at each others throats, the competitive snarky shirts are sort of the norm.

One I do remember from a while ago was from a group that had won the title almost every year for almost 10 years. Their shirt said "So the world really does revolve around us." And it had their letters in the middle with all their title years in little globes floating around them.

The ironic thing was that they didn't win the title that year.

So the winning group made shirts that said "XYZ, A New Tradition."

Back to recruitment, I've seen:
ZBT - The Best Packages on Campus (they had UPS-type shirts.)

And I think one fraternity actually had their recruitment shirt banned after wearing it once around campus. I can't remember what it said... but it just had a lot of "interesting" pictures on it.

Here is a bunch of some cool, some not so cool slogans I found on the net:

All (men/women) were created equal until (year)

We didn't create (sisterhood/brotherhood), we just perfected it.

Winning is our business, and business is good

Be careful of what you wish for, it might come true

History does repeat itself. It's called tradition

It's a (group name) thing, you wouldn't understand

Loved, hated, but never ignored

If joining (group name) were easy, then everyone would do it

They set the standard, we set the tradition

In a world of compromise, some (men/women) don't.

We pledged the best and then made it better.

Friendships last forever, when sisters come together

He's not heavy, he's my brother

Friends by chance, sisters by choice

(group name), enough said

Get your (group name) on

In life there are leaders and followers, that's why you're reading the back of my shirt.

(Group name), Walk in our shoes or stand in our shadows

The next best thing to being a (group name), is being a (group name's) date

(group name) is not your only choice, it's the only choice that matters

On the road of life, there are friends, and there are (sisters/brothers)

There's something special about the (sorority color) ones

There are two kinds of women in the world, (sorority name) and those who wish they were

(Group name), Standing out, but never standing alone.

If you have to ask...you're not qualified.

The few, The proud, The (group name).

(group name) separates the men from the boys.

Before you go greek, know who the (Gods/Goddesses) are.

We don't rebuild, we reload

Everbody wants to be somebody, (group name) already are.

3 times better with just one letter

Everyone has their day in the sun, (group name)'s day just lasts longer.

Last year for formal, we had mugs as favors and we made ones that said that for our dates.
