Continuing with fictional couples...
Commander James Bond, CMG, RNVR* / La Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo (only married a day before Ernst Stavro Blofeld (of SPECTRE) whacked her).
John Steed / Mrs. Emma Peel
(*CMG - Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George, a British honour usually awarded for outstanding service in the diplomatic corps and foreign service. RNVR - Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve; aka the "Wavy Navy" because of their wavy sleeve stripes.)

True, those couples are existing ones at the moment, but everytime I think of Paul McCartney, I don't think of that jailbait chick he married. I think of Paul and Linda, the one he called the greatest love of his life.
Same goes with Charles and Camilla. They may be married now, but no matter what, everyone still loves Diana and they still make reference to Camilla as the homewrecker.

Interesting trivial tidbit: Camilla Parker-Bowles (now the Duchess of Cornwall) is the great-granddaughter of Alice Keppel, mistress of King Edward VII. Homewrecking must run in the family...

You know, I heard about that too.
I remember a few days leading up to the wedding a few months ago, I think it was an A&E Biography that touched on that fact. I believe Camilla used that info to her advantage when she introduced herself to young Charles years ago. Something along the lines of, "My ancestor shagged your ancestor. Care to repeat history?" Something like that.
And it wasn't just A&E either. CNN, MSNBC, and all the major networks mentioned it at least once. That family must love breeding homewreckers, seriously.
