I think that my chapter is awesome because we are pumped up about EVERYTHING!!! This year, our provisional members wanted to know when they could start helping out with committees and stuff. We bring so much energy to everything we do that people can't help but notice us. We are also so involved in campus...we have at least someone in almost every campus organization. We are unique. We all come from different backgrounds but we mesh. I love it!!!
Also... we have a lot of pride... We are proud of all of our accomplishments (like president's cup 6/7 years).

TKE...

This can hold true for other chapters of TKE as well, but i'd say our chapter is a living example of SPIRIT - staunch uprightness...

One of our principles is the "opportunity out of defeat" - and the chapter exemplifies this time and time again through adversity...

Basically, when the sh** hits the fan, we get stronger... That is the true exemplification of sprit and character...

Thumbs up Sisterly love

Ok, I know this'll sound cheesy, but we really are close. A lot of my sisters are best friends. We all know each other and know random things about each other (like how tall our shortest sister is, etc.).

Of course we have socials and service, but I think our best quality is our love for each other. A great quality to be founded on!

(Yay Founders class!!! #8 here!)

ETA: We also have strong philanthropy - a national service project, a national philanthropy, a local service project, and a local philanthropy - but we help out with other projects too (ie, the Res Life staff asked us to help sell valentines to raise money for sickle cell anemia patients, so we helped with that ).

I'd have to say that my chapter definately has a unique strength on our campus. Our total is 45 at Millersville Univ. in PA and when I got in, our chapter was only 6 of us. the following semester we got 2 new members. With just those 8 members, we did more community service than most of the other greek and non-greek orgs on campus. We did over 250 in 1 semester, whereas Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity, who is based soley on service and academics, did only 50 hours for about 40-50 members.
For our small size, we got out there on our campus. All of us are actively involved in non-greek stuff on campus and the greek leadership groups. i was on the school paper for 4 years, the radio station for 3 and held a position on each of the greek governing boards at our campus. all of my sisters were like that. We really got our name out there. People know what we stand for and our feelings on hazing, alcohol and the other stuff and we are finally gettign rewarded for our extreme-involvement on campus. We got most improved org for the entire campus (greeks and nonogreeks) in 2004 and Greek organization of the Year this past semester. I also won female greek student of the year too.
We also had a way of not really being in competition with the other groups and had a nice bound with other sororities and fraternities. ASA hung out with us regularly and we helped the Alpha Sigma Phi colony recruit. This past semester, we increased out numbers from 9 to 18 (then 5 graduated-but still good) and members from almost every group on campus congratulated us and was so happy we were not going to die off. No other sorority got congratualted for 'winning the girls'. It felt really good to have that support and we know we got it by supporting other groups activities and being genuinely nice to all the other groups.
