I heard that the publicity department for 'War of the Worlds' cancelled all his interviews and public appearances out of fear that the was going to make a donkey out of himself (thus making the movie have bad publicity) like he did on Oprah.

L. Ron Hubbard actually came out and said that the best way to make money was to start a religion. And people sill follow his "teachings"!!!!!!

Thanks. I *just* heard Howard talk about Tom's publicist - ifred the barracuda he had and hired scientologist-sister.
They're playing the Aussie 60 minutes now. Cool! I won't have to look it up at work today!
