I agree with Jen on Third Watch's Bosco and I will add Faith Yokas and SGT Cruz from the same show. Although I guess I couldn't hang out with the second two at the same time since they hate one another.

BTW I think that Holden Caufield is a paranoid schizophrenic. Just so you know.

I was going to say Atticus Finch and Scout, but now I will choose Tom Joad from Grapes of Wrath. My favorite female characters are Holly Golightly for comedy and Clarice Starling for drama.

Hands-down my all-time favorite character is Katie Scarlett O'Hara (GWTW is my favorite book & movie - I cry every time I watch it...).
Holden Caufield is also an excellent character; I identified with him so much when I was younger.
