LOL! No...I always try to tell people the truth about their situations. Also, I'm good with keeping information confidential and I really care about the well-being of everyone around me. So, I'm happy to be a bit of a counselor. People who know me know that I've had more than my share of bad relationships so I know what NOT to do. Plus, I have more *experience* than the majority of people here.
Most of these kids have come out of Bible colleges and the sort. MANY of them are here because it's the "next step" but then they realize that it's not for them. I'm not here for any "next step." I'm here because I need to be here.
And, I often do tell people not to get to involved before they're ready because it sets them up for failure.

Sorry, back to the whole guys who are studying to be priests dating. WHY on earth would you date one of these men who are about to take a vow of celibacy?! That's interesting.
ETA: When I say priest I'm talking about Catholic priests.
I want to marry a Baptist preacher........they are expected to have lots of babies. JK (sort of)

Just to make conversation, my great-grandfather was going to be a priest, was in fact on his way to take his final vows when he saw my great-grandmother for the second time. He used to take my mother for walks, and they would always stop near her sister's house and say, "And when I saw her for the second time, I knew I could never be a priest." How cute is that?
He hadn't figured on her being a Baptist, though - religious schizophrenia has been in my family for several generations now!

Jeni, I can understand what your friends are going through, but they each need to take a cold shower, sit down in a public place and discuss their feelings for each other. If they are both committed to seminary, and decide to be committed to each other, too, they need to realize where and how they can date. Whether they decide that they can or cannot, they should have learned a great personal lesson on pastoring!

I went out with a guy once who got all freaked out and guilty and said he had to go talk to his accountability partner over the fact that we made out after our date. I understand being committed to your beliefs, but...wow.

LOL! I just realized that you said this. I think that some folks around here are attractive enough.
Here are two of the girls who go here (I'm closer to the one on the right - I think she's adorable!)
*Try to look past the red noses! The one on the right is from the south.
And this is the same girl - with her tall self - on the left:
I'm not about to post pics of the people who are the topic of this thread, however - but they are attractive in my opinion. Now there are some people here who would need to rely more on their personalities. I like pretty people who are easy to look at but I love people regardless of what they look like.
FYI: We are a seminary, not a divinity school. There is a difference.
