The people I talked to liked the writing in the earlier seasons better . . but it seems like the more recent seasons have a lot more focus in the human problems of each character . . I don't like that as much . ..

I haven't watched every episode of every season . . . did Josh and Donna ever hook up? Are they ever going to?

I got the impression there was some sexual tension there.

Me too.

Overall, I think the shows this year have tried to keep too many threads going simultaneously, and have been a little choppy.

It's still one of the best shows on the air, though.

I thought part of the reason Sorkin left the show was substance abuse issues, and the fact that he wasn't completely reliable on delivering scripts. I could have heard wrong though.

The episodes have been a lot weaker lately, but I thought last night's was really good.

I just read the cancellation article and they are not having Aaron Sorkin involved in the series finale

I hope that atl east they get donna and josh together.....make some of us happy at least.

what would make me very happy over this cancellation is 1) dont cancel it 2) they bring Rob Lowe back to be the VP running in place of Leo. Allison Janney was on a tv show saying they are writing his death into the script.

It appears John Spencer's heart attack was the final blow for the series, already suffering, as well.

They're claiming that the decision was made prior to his death; not sure how true that is, but if so, they took quick action on the ratings hit this year.

I thought this season has been solid; hopefully they won't ruin it with an over-dramatic or over-reaching finale.

It could be, but sometimes an event like this becomes the tie-breaker.

Exactly, and there's no way to say whether or not what they are claiming is the case. I can't believe that it didn't have at least some part in reaching this decision.

The episode tonight was really good; it seems like they've been setting up the Vinnick defeat for a month or so. I would be surprised if he ended up winning.

I'm glad Lowe is coming back for the final episodes; he was one of my favorite characters when the show started.

And CJ's hair is getting darker and darker. Is that supposed to make her look more intelligent?

I'm so not a Josh/Donna shipper, so their kiss meant nothing to me. But Kate/Will? OMG, I was squealing like a teenage girl. I love it when nerds fall in love, and they're so cute together.
