Thank you EVERYONE for your support and advice. I can never explain how much it has meant to me.

ZLAM,
Meredith

PS - FSUZETA...I am doing much better with my depression and anxiety. I am super excited to return to school. I am BORED at home. Believe me, it isn't as much fun as everyone thinks!

I am so glad you are doing ok. I went through a period after graduation where I went into a deep depression. It's so encouraging to hear other stories and how other people are overcoming like I did and continue to.

I moved from the Charlotte, NC area because I knew no one and my collegiate chapter was only 30 minutes away but I couldn't go back because of all the hurt I experienced as a collegiate. No one wanted to meet and befriend a new person in the Charlotte, NC/Clover, SC area. I moved to the Greenville, SC area (which is where I am from) and I only received only 2 emails about being an alumna in one of the 2 Upstate Carolina alumnae groups. After the second email, I received nada for about 2 or 3 months and I tried contacting someone with no avail. I actually thought about desistering as an alumna because I thought ZTA didn't want me nor did they want my help or ideas. I thought, "My God, it's the same as an alumna as it is as a collegiate." My thoughts were that apparently the GA from my collegiate chapter had contacted someone around here and made it clear that I "wasn't a good ZTA" for the sheer fact that she didn't like me.
I am a member of the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter and am sorry that you did not ever make it to any of our meetings. We try to give general directions but probably make the assumption that everyone knows Charlotte well enough to follow them. If we had known that you were having trouble, someone could have met you and driven you to a meeting. Last year and this year all the meetings have been at my home which is in southeast Charlotte. If you had only found it once, you could have continued to come. It really is quite easy to find.

I hope that you have found a Zeta home. I promise you that my happiest Zeta memories are as an alumna. Please stay active. Let me know if I can be of help.

trying!

I would just like to report that I have contacted nationals to start the process of being reinstated. My only fear is not being able to pay all my back dues at once, because I was told I have to pay for the semsters I wasn't in as well. Does anyone know how this works. I also wanted to say that some of my collegiate chapter sisters invited me to come down after big/little to meet the newest member of my family. I felt loved again and only a bit sad realizing the things I missed. I love ZTA

ZLAM Always!
Michelle

Obviously, I have edited or deleted many of the posts that I have made in this thread.

This is my public apology to my sisters at Iota Sigma and around the world if I offended you or ZTA in any way.

I am taking a break from all of this right now. My knee has gotten worse, and I need to get away from the drama so I can concentrate on school....

Thanks everyone for your continued support. PM me if you need to talk to me.

Meredith
