You just had the misfortune to have your first two posts be about the things that tick people on here off the most. I just don't understand why everyone gets so offended at EVERYTHING(YES I AM BEING GENERAL) My post is in no way meant to offend anyone, and as I have been on here for years, and "know" most of you well, I just don't get it. Some new people don't take the time to read most of the recent posts before posting-we can't do anything about that. Alot of them sign up here to get more info on greek life, and unfortunantly the only outside exposure they have had is stereotypes. I thought thats why we were here-to help them realize what greek life is. Snapping at them for making an uneducated opinion is just supporting the stereotype that all greeks are bitchy/better-than-you people. Isn't part of our jobs AS GREEKS to enlighten them? Yes if they took the time to read some posts first then they would be less likely to ask an inflammatory question, but they don't. I won't deny that we get trolls here is to cause trouble, but we can't stop that either. And I am sure my post is going to piss off people, so feel free to bitch at me if you please. Unlike some I don't get offended easily.

And I will climb down off my soapbox and let the rude comments begin.

Anyway, yes I don't have patience for the stupid things people say - not in real life and not on GC. But I don't think I'm mean either.

This chick might say dumb things, but creating a fricking GC bill of rights with some fake requirement to use a spell check is just as dumb. I have no patience for "dumb".

Rudey- The point of my post was for people to relax. I don't really have a good/bad opinion on the first post that was made(the "bill of rights" rudey called it.) And unfortunantly some people don't think before they post, so you just start typing and there it goes. As for spell check, I am a fairly good speller, but sometimes I type faster than my brain thinks and don't notice I spelled something wrong. But usually when I re-read it I catch it and go back to edit-just so I don't have to worry about the "use spell check" remarks.

This is an informal INTERNET message board. I didn't realize we were getting graded on perfect sentences and spelling. I admit that some people absolutly have issues when the ENTIRE post is poorly written and all spelled incorrectly, yeah, those people need an English class, but some of the comments are so unnessary. But my opinion is that everyone has an opinion and the right to free speech. I just wish people didnt have to be so bitchy when they did it.

I stated at the begining of my post that I was not trying to be offensive. I also was not attacking an individual. I was simply noticing that we have several posts rudely correcting different individuals. And yes, my English class remark was a little bitchy and I would be more than happy to edit if it offends anybody. Unfortunantly you can't convey your tone on the computer, and I thought I had worded sentences that didn't seem bitchy, as that is not my point. So I am sorry for sending a mixed message.
