Absolutly beautiful. I don't think that there was a dry eye among the chapter or in the room. I now know that TFJ doesn't mean Turkey for Jesus... our chapter favorite. I am so happy to be part of the national sisterhood. So excited that I got to sign our chater for the Iota Iota Chapter.

Just got in.

I'm so glad I was able to go! GCrose, it was nice to meet you and to be able to put a face w/ the name.

I just love initiation. It's so funny - no matter how many times I see it, I still get chills and teary-eyed.

Recruitment is this week. Courtney has returned to us and we are happy to see her again. We had our recruitment retreat this weekend and learned lots of new and fun things. Hopefully we won't be snowed out this year. Pref is Sat and Bid day is Sunday. Very very excited about this week. At last check we had 4 girls signed up.

single letter, A, B, G, D (5 * 24) = 120 + EA, EB, EG, ED, EE, EZ, EH, ETheta, EI, EK (10) makes 130 chapters ..

I bet your quills (when you get them) will have 200 as your chapter number.

Can anyone else answer this for sure???
I have (I think) figured out why Alpha Chapter is #000. I just received a 1933 Fraternity Education Manual (which I got off ebay) and it lists the "Fraternity Numbering System" where all initiates are given a number in the following order

Alpha 1 - 1,000
Beta 1001 - 2000
Gamma 2001 - 3000

and so on ... thru

Beta Zeta 53,001 - 54,000

So when HQ changed to the current number system (anyone know when??) each chapter seems to have gotten its thousand's number as the chapter number so Beta is 1 and that left Alpha as #000.

Congratulations to AXD at Greensboro College!

Girls, I know that this thread has probably been long forgotten, but I just needed to crash and wish all of the new AXD's at GC congratulations! I am an Alpha Chi Omega alum from Elon and work part time for the Greensboro Community YMCA swim team with your very own Ashley Davis! She is a great girl and if she is representative of your whole chapter, I know you must be a great group of girls! It is wonderful that you have the support of the Elon AXiD's and know that the Elon AX's support you as well!
