Ok....have you seen his website? Just garbage! I went to his speaking engagement at Ky. State back in Fall 2002....and what a hot mess. I can understand that he means well, but he is going about it the wrong way. I posted on it a while back..but here is the most absurd contratictory NESS on his site:
"Minister Hatchett is an avid opponent of Greek-Lettered Organizations that claim to be founded on Christian Principles and are not. He is in Covenant with Anointed Students in Unity Fellowship (ASUF), a NON-greek fraternity/sorority, founded by Shannon Thomas at Albany State University. Contact info:
smetts@asurams.edu"
How are you gonna want to break up NPHC orgs, but belong to a fraternity? If he is all about being in a brotherhood/sisterhood, then it should be named as thus...not a fraternity/sorority.
But still....If I can remember as such...when the Bible speaks about "being Bound or Binding with those that are un-equally yoked"...aren't they talking about marriage? I mean if we go by what he is teaching, then we can't have Muslim, Hindu, Budhist, or non-christian friends or family. I mean we are bound to those folks by common threads in the relationship. But hey...this is just me. I had to see it for myself...and I did. Now, I see how NOT to let my light shine.
I feel that he is barking up the wrong tree. If he wants to expose secret societies...go for the top...the Illuminati and Skull&Bones. As far as I know, Black folks have lived and breathed religion for longer than they have been in America...so when the NPHC orgs were formed, each group of founders had a clear mindset to know how to create their org...to last and be true to their heart and soul. NPHC orgs would have gone belly up if NONE of them were founded on Christian principles. They saw a glimpse of how their white counterparts were operating, and knew they could not function as such. They knew that they had to create their orgs differently than the white GLOs, and being founded on Christian Principles is a main factor. Heck, 6 of the 9 orgs were founded at an HBCU...and the schools were founded on Christian Principles, more importantly BY A CHURCH!
Apologize for the length
