enjoyed Finer Womanhood book
well, I enjoyed Big Walt's book Finer Womanhood. It helped me make my mind up. There are two other active orgs on my campus and I got all the books to help me choose Zeta. The Zetas on my yard are classy and I would hate to even think that there are other Zetas disrespecting another one of our bright brothers with that Slave mentality. As for the movie, if you really watched it the story is what all the talk and hype is about - it was UNREAL! I enjoyed that too so that is my luv and 2 cents!

the book
where did you get the book from?
|
Aw dang, that sucks.
To my understanding, Big Walt's books are just rehashes of information that already appears on public websites and other previously written works, with no analysis. If you are really interested in Greek Life, pick up the Divine Nine. For advanced iaspirants, I suggest Black Greek 101, Black Haze, and Soulstepping, which are more academic works. |

LMAO@this.
For some reason I think this is just another one of those advertising techniques that Big Walt is known for. They post as REAL posters, but their soul purpose is to adverstise his products. |
I do not recommend Big Walt's books.
I bought the Omega book and there is not one piece of information in there that cannot be found on the internet. Not to mention that the book took 3 months to arrive. I got it from www.blackgreekbooks.com TO ME BIG WALT WAS ALWAYS A VERY SUSPICIOUS CHARACTER. No where on any of his websites does he give a biography of himself and he or one of his workers advertise the book "The Hook Up" through SPAM!!! seriously! www.bigwalt.com Black Greek 101 is the most scholarly work on BGLO. blackbird from the Omega forum |

Now think about it? Would you seriously consider information in a book writing by someone called "Big Walt"? |
Black Greek 101: The Culture, Customs, and Challenges of Black Fraternities and Sororities by Walter M. Kimbrough
Soulstepping: African American Step Shows by Elizabeth C. Fine Black haze: Violence, Sacrifice, and Manhood in Black Greek-Letter Fraternities by Ricky L. Jones |

There are many other books about BGLO.
I am planning on buying "Coming Apart At The Seams: Biblically Unravelling The Evils Of Greek Fraternities And Sororities" by Fred Hatchett who is part of Greek Chat and goes by the name Iconoclastic. Also, Black Haze is another that I plan on reading. It was written by a Kappa. |
