Um, if they are destroying property, they are disturbing the peace, duh. So yes it will be up to the cops to restore peace. Or should they just walk past a protestor who throws a trash can at the nearest store?

Point blank, they need to be prepared for the worse and a riot erupting is possible. Hopefully, the protestors can make their point AND be peaceful at the same time.

I see you have issues reading. This was about protests in Central park and a legal issue over whether they were allowed to go in at this point and possibly damage the park without posting bond. The court said no. The issue is solved. Sorry but we don't need your help, and it really doesn't have a single thing to do with this issue it seems.
