i stress over it anyway.
now it has dramatically change my health. i get headaches a lot. i get aches and pains. my weight has even changed. i know that there is medical proof in stress releasing a chemcial in your stomach area that cause a little weight gain. i have changed my eating habits. i haven't drank soda in 6 months and i eat sweets not very often.
is there anything that i can do to calm myself down and relax? i want to take it easy, but i am afraid of not achieving my goals.
but i want to be healthy too.

I guess I can sorta relate but I never get headaches, stressed or unstressed. I'm pretty uptight and tense about some things, usually dealing with safety and security issues. I still am, that's not going change.
I like to go out for a run, a long bike, something that will physically drain me a little. Other times, I jump into a hot shower and just stay there for a while. Listen to some music, typical stuff.

Bastard. lol.
If they were full release it would make it real intimidating, since its in the middle of a grocery store. But, hey, some people are into that. lol.

Maybe some time with a couselor could help you with your issues surrounding perfectionism. Also get a check up from a doctor sometimes the type of headaches you have could be a symptom of something else.
As for releasing stress, great ideas have been given. As well I write in a journal, watch a funny movie, listen to music, take a nap, or paint.

driving on I-95 gives me so much stress. i hate being on the highway. i am convinced that i will probably lose my life on I-95- not from an accident, but from a stoke or something. i am not a recklace driver by any means. but i always get this rage inside of me that doesnt ever come out. it can get to where i cannot breathe until i get out of the car. it only gets this bad during morning rush hour. i seriously need to chill.

One of my sisters had this problem. She was losing, not gaining weight, though, and was tested for diabetes as well. Her doctor said she needed to find ways to deal with her stress NOW or she was going to have serious health problems.
She joined a yoga class and loves it.
I mailed her a box of little stupid things... like a lavendar scented candle and some ugly pink and orange socks.... with a note ordering her to relax because I didn't want her to get sick.
Maybe it'd help to identify a couple sources of your stress?
i.e. if one is work...... make SURE you are taking your lunch break, and try to make it as relaxing as you can. Take a walk if you usually go to the cafeteria or something.
If one is money, spend an hour (this will be MORE stress initially but less later) setting up a budget and figuring out what's really going on with yourself financially.
If one is your boyfriend, ditch him and take a bath. Or, uh, just ditch him.

i was like that in high school. i was very stressed all the time and lost about 20 lbs in a matter of 4 weeks. in my senior picture, i looked malnurished
i wish weight had nothing to do with your stress levels. cause when i look in the mirror and see myself, i get more stressed.

That happened to me one summer, too. My stomach was so upset all the time (from worrying) that I never wanted to eat, and I was running every day to try and release the stress.
I lost a bunch of weight. I mean, it worked out OK because I had it to lose (unlike you, Smiley!) but still, that kind of weight loss/gain ain't healthy.

And their email addresses include their zipcode. Things must be really boring in Tipton, Iowa -- population 4,959.

HAHA in college I knew a guy from there. He was odd. I think they make Cheetos there, or something.
