Funny everyone always comes out and says they're school belongs. Obviously if all your schools were the best party/greek/transexual schools then you would all share the number one spot. Also these rankings can change quickly because schools hate it and will try to avoid the party listing and I bet much of the partying can be tied to greek life.

-Rudey
--But in America many of you choose a school based on partying instead of academics so this may be a great guide.

Hampton University is a HBCU in Hampton, VA. Based on what I know about Hampton, I'm not suprised they are on the list. Their website is www.hamptonu.edu

Unsurprisingly, my school made the list yet again. As IvySpice noted, I'm a little surprised we weren't any higher than past years, but whatever. We'll probably always be on the list. Go us.

Washington and Lee = top in Greek life

I was EXTREMELY surprised that U Alabama didn't make the party school list nor Greek list.

WVU will probably always make the party list, but more than likely the greek system will never be rated in the top ten.

Talk about a lame greek life website - you have to download documents to find out anything. Why not just post it publicly? Sheesh..

Umm... thanks for the harsh comment? I don't control the greek life webpage and no one thinks it's a priority around here because our greek life is so small and relatively unpopular anyway.

But thanks for being mean anyway.

Oh grow up. Remember, you are the one that ranked your university as being the 1 millionth+ on the Princeton list.

I wasn't being mean, just critiquing a poorly designed site. First, the main university site directs folks to the GL site for information, then they make it very difficult to GET that information. After all, not everyone in the world has Microsoft Office or a program that reads it. The information in the documents is very generic and could be posted to the site, making it accessible for everyone. Maybe if students could easily find out about Greek Life on your campus, they might be more tempted to get involved.

alphagam, I don't think PT was implying YOU were responsible for the site's lameness.

The Greek Life links to stuff you have to download, but you can find profiles of each sorority & rush info through a panhel link under clubs & orgs.

Starang, maybe the women aren't snooty, maybe it's just you.

I'm just playing.

I just looked at the site because I didn't know what you meant by downloading things. You didn't have to do that before, so I don't really know what's up with that, they probably took it down when they redesigned the whole school's website over the summer and haven't put it back yet because our Student Organizations and Leadership Development Office is very busy right now with the new freshmen.

As far as letting them get online and see what greek life is about, most of the students on campus don't have internet right now because of new anti-virus software that they're making us all install into our PCs, so right now that's not much of an issue, and most of the individual chapters have their own websites, which we are working with each other right now on to get linked to one another. Also, we've been giving freshmen tours of campus, making ourselves available for them to ask questions while doing the service of showing them around and tips for survival on campus, so really Gannon's main greek life website (that hasn't been updated for almost 4 years) is not one of our major concerns.

To be honest, all I tried to say that attacking how "lame" my school's website is is really uncalled for, considering I had been making a joke about how small our greek system is on my campus. I actually like it that way, considering there are only a few hundred greeks on campus between all the chapters. It's nice, because I know most of them by first and last name, and I think that even though we have a small system we're one of the better connected greek systems that I've heard of, with no major rivalries and a willingness to work together. If, by making a joke, I need to "grow up" then I would be happy not to.
