Fair enough man.
I'm just saying, it seems the only famous Asians are known for Karate, food, racing, or acting like complete fools. Aside from the guy who played Harold, Yao Ming, and Dr. Henry Lee, I can't think of anyone else viewed in the positive light.
If you've happened to see "The Debut" or "The Flipside", it gives a good interpretation of "typies", "fobs", "eggots" and "white -washed", and all the other terms I've heard Asians put on themselves (more so with Pinoys).
I'm just me dogg, but I've heard all that crap before.

Actually, he is not a typical Asian who likes to hide out from public eyes and is totally comfortable and proud with who he is. And btw, his stupidity is nothing to do with his race.

For my understanding, a stereo-typical Asian college student would be smart, nerd-ish, non-partier, and non-spotlight seeker. They tend to hang out with other Asians, and speak weird languages.
Of course this is a stereotypical, and it might be true for some cases, and might not for others.

considering that you yourself have identified yourself as asian...i find it highly amusing and odd that you would call your native tounge weird. maybe it's a bout of self-hatred. my culture and heritage are NOT weird, but extremely beautiful.
the stereotype you just posted is a actually quite the minority among asians. who knew....most of them might actually be normal and not own a pocekt proctector.
well, outside of smart...i'm a genius.

Well, I NEVER said I thought my native language was weird. That is why I started the whole post with "For my understanding ...", so I might be wrong and generalized people's opinion too much. Dude, please don't twist my words and read more carefully.
Since I have so many friends who don't understand any Asian languages, they openly told me that many of them are fascinated with Asian languages, due to the fact that we talk really fast. Of course these conversation happened in Iowa, where Asian is about 6% of total population, and many of them actually speak English. I also find myself amused when I heard any other languages I don't understand are spoken, so I totally understand where this idea is coming from, and I become curious and think it is wicked. Don't lie that you never be amuzed or think it is weird when you hear any other languages that you don't understand are spoken. Not only Asians, but any languages in the world.
Well, I am glad that you find your culture and heritage is beautiful, which I neither know or disagree with, but you know what, I find mine as well. So don't assume that I ashamed or hated my culture and heritage. And I don't care if you think I am odd, I just tell you the truth what I feel and experience.
I posted the "stereotypical Asian", which I know that might be considered as misconception and deceiving, and only minority among Asians are actually fall into this steretype.

Just curious. Could you please give me a description?
Oh, I know, they all carry cell phones that hook up to Karaoke machines.

Not even close. They're the ones that drive nothing but souped up rice rockets and they throw up hand signs claiming "AZN PRYYYYYDE".

i'm not twisting your words, i'm going off of what you said. it's competely understandable not to understand your own language, i don't understand mine either (i get cursed out a lot in it, though). i don't think it's weird, however....especially when it's my native tounge (or my country of origin's) being spoken. i don't bat an eyelash or thinking anything of it. a lot of the engineers in my office are hispanic, and they speak spanish. because that's the language they're comfortable with.
