Your chapter/national policies on alcohol?

I don't know how true that is.
My chapter doesn't have a house, so this is something we never had to worry about.
We all lived in private residences or on campus. If you lived on capus you followed the campus housing's policy.
Most of lived in private residences though, with non-Pi Phi roommates.

Phi Gamma Delta chapter's are dry nationally, but each chapter has the ability to earn an alcohol exemption by meeting a set of criteria (chapter G.P.A. above all-men's average for two consecutive quarters, good financial standing with headquarters, completion of alcohol and rape workshops, etc.) Although I agree that 21 yr. olds should be able to have alcohol in their own home, sometimes alcohol creates risky situations. This way, Phi Gamma Delta can try to limit alcohol consumption to responsible chapters. In my opinion, there are just too many bad things that can happen at an unresponsible chapter. Plus, if a chapter has an overall G.P.A. of something like 2.5, they need to be concentrating their efforts on academics not how many beers they can beer bong.

Hmm...interesting concept. So if they meet all the goals then they get to have alcohol? If they slip up the following semester on one of the criteria do they lose the priviledge? Just curious.

I think the exemption is good for one school year, but I can't remember. If the chapter has any major slip ups the exemption can be pulled at any time.
