Y'all - Prince is the KING OF CRUNK!!!!!!!

Yup, front and right on the aisle the artists used to walk in and that HE used when he walked out...he looked right at me when I screamed "thank you!!!" -shoot that's my story and I'm sticking to it !! Although I was annoyed that the guards picked those non dancing hussies to go on stage-did you see that Scores-wanna-be chick rolling around on the ground? When he was facing us he gave her the "WTF" look?? Those youngins didn't even know what to do when he called out for old school-where's the bump? the wop? Every dance does not mean you stand still and shake your behind

Membership has its priviliges....due to being club members we had very good seats...there were a number of celebrities and even Knicks players sitting behind us. We got there early and watched as others came in and then stepped behind us (yes i'm showing off) but hey we stood by him through his "slave" days, buying music off the web site and one nite shows....we deserved acknowledgement!

I can't pick a favorite song-(except for Adore-he always makes me fall back in love with the song) - that's like trying to chose between your children...they all have different personalities that fulfill different needs on different days. He changed some up live that made me hear them differently than in the past. The only thing I missed from this concert was Prince didn't play the piano at all. But his band was awesome-real music by real musicians!!

And this show was different from what he did Monday night (my brother went to both) so if you are able try to get tickets for more than one show when he comes to your town.

First, let me pick up my glass of Hatorade, lol.

My mom called me a few minutes ago and said she heard the show was really good. Prince received a good review in the paper, if you get a chance to read it.

When homeboy in the band was playing his drum solos, all I could do was stand up and say, "DAYUM!!!!!!

LOL@ the non-dancing hussies. For a minute, I thought they were part of the act, as in they came along with Prince. Oh well.

The youngins had no clue about his songs from back in the day, especially when he sang "Bambi" lol.

Oh I know...but I still can't choose one favorite...depends on what I'm doing....at night I can hit repeat on Call my name ..but if its early & I need motivation on the treadmill it could be Musicology or Life O the Party. I usually just pop it in and rotate with other prince cd's. The best thing is he always has a song that will fit whatever mood I'm in!

I too was at MSG last night. It was the first time I saw him perform live. Umm.....does this man age at all??? I fell in love with him all over again. I got goosebumps and felt all woozy when he first appeared. Like he said, "Too many hits, so little time", but whew! did he take me back! Oh, and his band was tight.

LOL @ the wannabe dancers up there! Laying on your back and gyrating in front of 20,000 people is not, uh, cute. I personally would of just made sure I got my feel on before they kicked me off the stage!

Yes it was John...I never paid any attention to Prince's drummer before-now that they're playing in the round John's not hidden in the back of the stage! This dude has guns for arms...just buff! (& he played the heck out of the drums also )..

lil_mama26 - last night was a great first concert to attend..granted when he was younger he would jump off pianos into splits and do other craziness but watching him mature & maintain 100% total energy on the stage in other ways has been (& should be) a lesson for all artists. Trust-you won't be disappointed with future shows!

Welcome to the obsession!

@ladygreek----while in Vegas make sure to check out Purple Reign, the Prince tribute band. Now there are a couple of things you need to know before you go (cause nobody warned me when I went ).

1. I saw them at the Gold Nugget (think that was the name of the hotel) and that place is one tiny step above Harpo's Juke joint.

2. Ignore the lone back-up dancer.....I'm thinking she must be some band-member's girlfriend ....she serves no purpose...ignore her or better yet---show her how it's done.

and lastly,

3. If you see them....we'll have to talk about what exactly was that "purple thing" on stage supposed to be.

I must say Prince tore MSG down last night as well! We were on our feet the whole night! I liked when Sheila E. came out. That girl still looks good (but not as good as Prince, of course)

My co-worker told me about Sheila E. and Morris Day.

Let's just say that I've added about 10 lemons to my TALL glass of Hatorade!!!!

You know his young daughter drowned a couple of weeks ago. That is why the Chicago shows were postponed. I bet getting back into his work is what is carrying him right now.
