Hahahaha, sorry this made me laugh.
Guelph has a pretty bad football team too, but the one thing we pride ourselves on is "At least we're not as bad as UofT"
Sorry

I looove Homecoming, even if our football team leaves a bit to be desired. There was a reason why I was Homecoming chair twice for my chapter when I was an undergrad, I live for the whole week. I'm planning on having a tailgate this Homecoming for all of my friends that are around my age if I can get it coordinated.
Homecoming should be a holiday!

Fun. I was just invited to MC a dinner for the Alumni Marching Band at Homecoming this year. I did it two years ago and got a nice award as their former announcer.
This is particularly nice since it will mark the end of the official university bicentennial celebration. (Ohio University, 1804-2004)

Homecoming a holiday at NCSU? Not quite. A lot of people don't really even know it's homecoming. Some alum come back and we do have a homecoming parade and banner contest, but it doesn't draw a big crowd. The school is working hard to make it a bigger deal with lots of events, but so far it hasn't really taken off. I really wish it was a bigger deal though.

I used to. I would take the Friday off and the Monday after to go to festivities.
I think this year, I'll only take 1/2 day on Friday off since our game is @ 1pm. I LOVE the game. I'm more into the athletics than the fanfare. I AM approaching 11 years removed from my alma mater. I would want to SMOADS!

A&M doesn't have homecoming. We consider it as high school-ish.
Most Old Ags make it back for most of the home games anyways, and since Greek life has only been at A&M for 15 of the 125 years it's existed, it's really not a big deal.

True, and we beat Iowa all the years that we were there, except for freshman year! Which I loved especially since I grew up in eastern Iowa.

Cleveland State had homcoming this past fall semster with our Basketball Team a week before finals. From what I heard, It wasn't too bad. Plus, Common was the musical guest.
The Best Homecoming I remember was at Norfolk State University . I had the best time of my life.

Even though all my close friends are local, I think we're gonna get a hotel room on campus so we don't miss any action and can optimize our party-going.

I'm going back this year, I'm so excited!! I'm not quite sure how I feel about it being a night game as that seriously cuts into the after-game bar time, but I'm sure we'll manage. I'm really looking forward to visiting the house again, I've heard they've made tons of updates.
Hooray for homecoming!

OMG I absolutely love homecoming...lawn displays, kareoke, the game, everything.
I wouldn't say it is much to do with seeing old alums or anything, as I'm usually too busy to notice.
This year is going to be interesting, as I am up for Homecoming Royalty. I had my interview last night and find out Thursday at 5pm. I was surprised to be chosen as a semifinalist, and if I get to be a finalist, homecoming week is going to be more crazy than usual, b/c I basically have to attend all the events. I don't think I have much chance at winning the crown, but to be one of 10 or so male finalists would be awesome, particularly since a bunch of my friends are also up for it.

Leaving for Homecoming two weeks from today and really looking forward to it.
I get to introduce the new president of the university at a Saturday night dinner for Marching Band Alumni. (No, I didn't play an instrument, I was their announcer.)

Homecoming at Arkansas is a blast! up and down dickson street , walking up to old main, seeing the house lawn displays, alums you haven't seen in a while, reliving favorable moments with old friends and roommates in your old dorm Gibson Hall, the parties!!!!!!!...... there is a feeling of electricity in the air when that time of yr comes about and your on your old campus and being surrounded by friends.....what better feeling!
