I've figured out what I'll be taking during the summer session. It's a course called "Approaching Shakespeare"
I am also taking a Shakespeare course this summer and a lit course. After that, I'll take 9 hours this fall and I will have my MA! Hooray!

I'll be taking 4 classes this summer. Management, Finance Webpage Design, and doing a senior project for my major. Our summer school is you take one class 3 hours a day monday - friday and you can only take one class per session and there are 4 sessions.

Summer School

I know I am not the only person taking classes this summer. I am picking up extra credits so I can do an internship in D.C. next spring, plus summer classes are very relaxed, and have a lot of fun topics.

Today I begin my senior level history class "Film as History: Oliver Stone, Hollywood, and the World". (Last summer I took the Vietnam War Through Film, and did a presentation on Hair). All I have to do is write three essays of 2-5 pages each. The first week we're covering "Film As History", the second "The Vietnam War", and the third week "Violence". Week Four is "Culture, Communication and Consumption". Somehow we are going to cover all these movies in four weeks, with 15 hours of instruction a week:
Midnight Express
Salvador
Platoon
Born on the Fourth of July
Heaven and Earth
JFK
Nixon
The Doors
Natural Born Killers
U-Turn
The People vs. Larry Flint
Talk Radio
Wall Street
Any Given Sunday

However in the afternoon I get to attend "The History of Sexuality", and later in the summer "History of Organized Crime in America". If I feel up to it, I can also take "The Pacific War in Movies", where we will NOT be watching Pearl Harbor!

I feel a 4.0 coming on!

Feel free to share!

Depending on what you consider "summer classes"... I have class until the last week in July because that's how the German academic calendar is. I don't really mind.
