I could care less.

And cashmoney is right...once the novelty of being in a GLO wears off, it becomes less of a thing. One of my cousins, right around the time she pledged, insisted that she was going to marry a Greek man. I don't think her current guy is in a fraternity. It's just about growing up, ya know?

I think for *some* it depends on how involved you are in your organization. If you are someone who plans to be an advisor, international officer, or the alumni member who is volunteering for everything in the AA, having a SO who understands that committment and dedication of being in a GLO may be beneficial.

Am I going to go up to every guy that I think is attractive and ask them, "So, what fraternity were you in? Oh, none....well, see you later!" ? I don't think so.

At W&L, most guys just tend to be Greek (85% of them), so I've always dated Greeks. Earlier in my career here, I probably wouldn't have considered dating a non-Greek because there wouldn't be the cocktail parties, etc. Now that I'm older that's not as much of a concern...

buttttt since I'm pinned to a Pike anyway it don't really matter.

Guys in letters are automatically hotter

On my campus I'd go w/a fraternity man 99% quicker than a GDI! But then again, I can't date anyone but my Teke so I guess I'm stuck with my fraternity man

Having letters, no less certain ones, wouldn't influence my attraction to someone, but as an afterthought would be an added bonus.

Don't get me wrong, there are certain fraternity letters that kind of grab my attention because of what I thought of their members here ("XYZ has the hottest guys, etc").

But I think it has a lot to do with the environment on your campus. Mizzou's system is very competitive- Kiki can back me up when I say the first question, without fail, a guy will ask you is if you're in a house, and if so, which one. Using my org to determine whether or not to talk to me is absolutely GHEY. It's been my experience here that while the greek guys have been fun to party with, as I grew up and distanced myself a little from my chapter, non-greeks were a much better fit for me.

I've only dated 4 fraternity men, and it was casual at best, so I can't really say...I like the fact that most fraternity men aren't anti-Greek and are cool with the fact that I'm in a sorority. However, it can also go the other way...because of the stories one of my exes told me and the way he acted, I look at members of his fraternity kind of differently, which I know is totally unfair but I associate his letters with him and that's...not good.

Sure, I like it when I have things in common with the men I date, and it's great if they can understand my values, etc...

But as for it making me more attracted to someone? No - that's pretty immature and petty, in my opinion. I am attracted to good-looking guys that I get along with... I don't care if they are Greek or not.
