Cali senate passes bill to lower voting age to 14

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the arguement for lowering the voting age something to do with men being eligible for the draft at 18, but couldn't vote for President?

I don't see a reasonable correlation between driving and being drafted, so I wouldn't be so quick to lowering the voting age to 16, let alone 14.

Hey, that's no worse than kids (or older folks) vote Republican or Democratic because their parents did.

Yeah, I mentioned that earlier, but the little devil standing on my shoulder, whispering in my ear is making me write this.

In those days, women were not drafted -- by law. So, does that mean that since they were still old enough, but didn't have to fight and die for their country, that they shouldn't have been allowed to vote?
