Today, in Chicago, we had a high of 1 (yes 1) degree. With the wind chill, it feels like it is *well* below zero.

A high degree of 1. Tell Jack Frost to get out of Chicago and go home to the North Pole.

I like seasonal weather. You know it should be cold in the winter time. Hot in the summer.

Single digit temperatures aren't cold. That's freezing.

Just how cold is it?

Right now at 8:05 pm CST it is -8 degrees. That is a warm up because earlier today it was -23. That is NOT with wind chill.

I think that was a wind chill temperature. But still it had to be at least -30 for the windchill to have been that cold. The weatherman said that what ND and MN got is a cold front from Siberia--literally.

You are right. I went to visit her over the holiday and basically stayed in the house. That wind will run right through you.

See, that's what *I'm* saying!!!
This is ridiculous. How is the high going to feel like some negative number???

Well, Epitome, at least today it warmed up, huh? A high of almost 30!

Ladygreek, how do you guys survive in Minnesota? It seems that you always get the worst of the worst temperatures. Don't you have a series of underground tunnels for winter weather avoidance or something like that?

See Epitome, as a fellow Chicagoan, I can respect the seriousness of your statement b/c, as you know, Chicagoan are used to wind that will run right through you. If the N. Dakota wind kept *you (a fellow Chicagoan)* in the house. Well, enough said.
