You can only choose ONE!
What is more important to you...?
1. Is it more important to know only the history of your organization of choice.....
2. Is it more important to be an ACTIVE PARTICIPATOR/CONTRIBUTOR to your organization of choice....
3. Is it more important to WEAR PARA, DO CALLS, CHANTS, STEP, ETC.?
REMEMBER, you can only CHOOSE ONE,(1), UNO, UN....OKAY? OKAY!

I will continue the trend with a RESOUNDING #2!!
WHY??
**inserting Novella's opinions**
...I couldn't have had an "organization of choice" without researching first. When you are actively participating/contributing -- you should be in-the-process-of -OR- have already gotten to know the history of your Organization of choice.
What I uncovered in research is one of the major criteria I used to choose which Organization I wanted to pursue Membership in...
I started out learning/researching the basics of everyone's history (the Sororities in the Divine 9). Then I began the process of "beefing up" on the History which I identified-with/admired/was-impacted-by the most. Anyway, there is sooooo much History, and soooooo many ways to examine and re-examine the History as it continues to build... I want to eventually be an integral part of that History (well said searching).
... #1 was part of the means by which I chose an Organization... and #3 would be great -- but I won't deserve to do #3 without #2 via #1.
Does that make sense??
I know, I know, I am one loooong-winded sista'...

Excellent question: I would choose #2....
I have noticed that many of the responses from members of the BGLO's are also saying 2.
I want to pose another question: Since #2 it seems as if it is the most important, lets apply that to real life. Like many, I know of people in org's who get downright angry when people in the org. can not "sound-off" the history or can't "remember" important info of their org. Yet, they are active in the org. Some members then OPENLY question how they were made, which takes precedence over what they are doing....
Playing the devils advocate and with all of this in mind, would YOU still answer the same (honestly)?
Now, I know some will say that they don't question how some came into the org, but then will look down on them for interests and outsiders to see.
JUst wondering.......

In all seriousness I am anxious to do number 2 it is the most important of the three to me. Being active would bring about the knowledge of the past because inorder to progress toward the future, glances back into history are a must. I can't wait to partictpate in different community service activites in the name of my organization of choice. And to always be an active participant in every endeavor that is feasible to me and my pocket book.

LOL!! I thought about making a joke nd posting #3 as my answer... But I am full aware of the backlash that may well have followed. Our gracious Moderators don't play dem kinds of games up in heah!!!
As Miss Cleo would say "I keeps it reeeaaal!"

"We wear the clothes we...."
I am sorry but I gotta wear the PARA, chant, do calls, etc.
SIIIIIIKE (Ol' Skool 80's term), just kidding,
I choose #2, also...
Hey it's humpday and I thought I would joke a little to get us through the week.
Being a CONTRIBUTOR is most important, not only as a Greek, but also as an African American.

You can do #2 after having proven yourself worthy by pledging by way of #1 for the right to do #3 all that you want. At least that is the way that is was before we beacame "enlightened". While #1 is less important in the grand scheme, it shapes and molds the appreciation of the people performing #2 and #3.
