As for what I really, really, really want for Christmas this year... I want anything that is left on my wedding registry. I made it really easy for my family by just giving them a list of the stores.
We exchange lists, too, which I think is very reasonable. Being the sillies that we are, we include really cheap things (lots of straws for work!) and ridiculously expensive things (I still haven't gotten my Jag - yet!), just to keep it interesting!

ETA: anyone who gives me candles will be risking his or her future happiness!!! I am SOOO allergic to them, I can hardly stand the sight of them!

Chrsitmas shopping

I AM SO IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT!!!!

My Christmas shopping is just about finished (98%). I put up the tree this past Sunday, and I am trying to wrap a few presents each night to get the wrapping done.

Mr. Silver loves Shakespeare, so he is getting an 1895 copy of Hamlet bound in calf-skin.

Mommy and Daddy Silver are getting a 16X20 framed canvas of Mr. Silver and me.

I want a Louis Vuitton small bucket bag or this gorgeous garnet ring that has the AOII crest the stone.

As for making gifts. Wreaths are cheap and fun to make, especially with Christmas ornaments. Scarpbooks are excellent, too. Aprons or tea towels can be purchased at Wal-Mart or on ebay with preprinted embroidery designs. Just stitch over the blue lines!

I hate people like you... j/k

We've bought our holiday cards, and I've started stitching up a cross stitch trivet for my folks, but that's about all we've done. I'm just glad that Hanukkah is relatively late this year...

My mom: a book of some kind. I usually get her one on women in the South in the 1800s/early 1900s. I think I might get her the Robert E. Lee family cookbook this year. I'm also thinking about getting her a mother's pin. They're not very expensive.

My dad: not sure yet!

My boyfriend: I think a Pike badge. I'm still debating the style. Help me choose!

My little sisters: Not sure. I thought about getting them guards. Right now I'm leaning towards these pillows.

Oh yeah!

My Gamma Phi mom and I found out that we were best friends in preschool. In fact, my actual mom has several pictures of us together. I'm going to pick one out and find a really cute frame to give to her for Christmas.

I just have to say, I love Amazon! I did my shopping for my kids this weekend. They are both getting scooters and Cybiko Xtremes and I got them DDR for Playstation 2. My daughter is getting some Bratz stuff, a couple CDs (her first year asking for music.. she's definitely a pre-teen!), and a Neopets game. My son is getting an electronic Bey Blade and a pogo stick. I also found him ONE PokeROM on Ebay but he wants a whole bunch and they are discontinued.

I bought my mom a computer in August (which I couldn't afford but her web tv had died and she's home bound and NEEDS the internet and I knew she'd like computer games too) and I told her at the time that it was going to be her Christmas and B-day presents for the next few years, but I'll get her a little something anyway.. from the kids.

My dad and his wife haven't given't me any ideas yet and neither have my brother and his wife.

I'm trying to find a good gift certificate for my Godparents.. maybe Bed, Bath & Beyond because they got a new condo this year. One Godson who always gets a music store gift certificate.

I asked for Home Depot gift certificates from everybody. I'm hoping to get enough to get a new countertop for my bathroom because I'm re-doing that room and I can do everything else cheaply myself, except that.

I won't have time to deal with Christmas until after my finals are over, sometime in mid-Dec.

I've thought of a few things my mom might like. I never know with her - she's not a Christmas person and hates surprises - 50% of what I buy her ends up going back. So I'm not going to put too much effort into it.

My Fiance and I are going to get each other a really nice camcorder and maybe a DVD burner if we think we can swing that too. Its kind of a Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary/Valentine's deal - plus, we're ending up saving money for the house and the honeymoon

My sister and I usually go to the mall and pick out something and say, "Buy me this for Christmas." It's so easy that way!

As for my mom, probably jewelry-- she's a jewelry addict.

As for my dad, I never know what to get him, he's the hardest... so if anyone has any good dad gifts then please share! Otherwise, I'll have to figure out some kind of gift pertaining to golf.
