She could easily pass for Coral's sister. She's a little tore up looking though and I always thought Coral was really pretty.

This is going to be a good season. I think we will see a lot of similarities to our NPHC orgs. Meena is interesting. She made an interesting comment about how she's a senior and she knows lots of people in black orgs who pledge as seniors. It leads me to think that she picked this org just because they're on MTV.

On another note...Fraternity Life was filmed at UC Santa Cruz, which is up the road from us here in Monterey. I'm up there alot with our undergrads, so I'm looking forward to getting the scoop on that.

I was thinking Animal House also. The Philippino mixed guy looked like Kenan/Kel.

It seems like the fraternity does a whole lot of drinking and not too much community service.

overall, i'm not feeling this sorority, personally, and the pledges, they seem okay. perhaps they're there for the sorority and not to be on MTV (i'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt). but Sharifa and Meena, will they last? we'll see...
did anyone catch FL2? it was like ANIMAL HOUSE 2003. even the president looked like one of the guys in the movie (if you've seen the movie, you might know who i'm referring to). they were not impressive, too much liquor and it looks like not enough community service also, was it me or did one of the Rushees look like Kenan/Kel (i don't know who's who)?

To me, they seem like a bunch of Big Tool McFools. At least the girls seem interesting. But I still believe that what we're going to see looks more NPC than NPHC.

I think it all depends on which group it is. I think many of the west-coast founded groups aren't so "out there" with their processes. In fact, you usually don't know anything is going on at all. I've seen more "outward" signs of pledging from the east-coast founded organizations.

A little spoiler about Fraternity Life....DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!!!!.............

I was up at UC Santa Cruz yesterday helping our undergrad chapter with their interest table at the school's student organization festival. The fraternity that is featured on this season of Frat Life was not there - - and will not be returning to campus - - ever! A few of the members were there at the festival and they handed out stuff, but the chapter itself is no longer recognized by the school.

Since I'm not watching this show, the spoiler doesn't bug me. And I'm not surprised about their subrosa status. Remember, these are the same Big Tool McFools who stole a koi.

I just saw on MTV that the reason they were kicked off campus is because some of the brothers stole a coy fish (the Japanese ones that are really expensive) from a campus pond, cooked it, and made the pledges eat it.

If you go to MTV.com and look up the pledges, Meena doesnt have a page..all you get is a flip book when you click her name.. hmmm..

WHY did she leave the FIRST meeting early?
WHY was the one chick 30 mins late for move in, and didnt call anyone?
WHY am I addicted to this show? lol HELLLP!!!!

WHY is Meena even pledging? That's the biggest "why" I have at the moment.

The other chick was Sharifa (the girl who came in 30 minutes late)...I need for her to call somebody if she'll be late. She was right there when the DP said, "7:00 SHARP" Better yet can you be there at 7:00 like you were asked to.

Meena is extremely irritating. She's definitely there for MTV and somebody needs to check her. Michelle seems like she's spoiled and used to having her way, which will probably cause some drama.

On fraternity life, DOC is making themselves look like the typical drunken fraternity. The one-hand-on-balls salute is ridiculous.

I agree about Meena. As a former "pledge mom"

uh....Meena and I would have to have a talk. She is doing entirely too much and for her to add to it, say "this isn't a priority" is crazy. She's very irritating and she probably won't make it.

Michelle...she had no business being the pledge captain. She's a freshman, my goodness...but because she doesn't really have any leadership experience (plus she is spoiled) she won't do well.

Other stuff that bothered me:

They apparently cannot write out the words Zeta Sigma Phi, but they can wear a shirt with the words on it.

Uh, "neophyte meeting"? I thought you were considered a neo AFTER the process was completed?

I'm not even gonna go there about FL:3. If you blindfold people and try to lead them down a cliff with a 150-foot drop...something is wrong!! And that "hand on your junk" salute. Why??
