Living in DC, I am well aware of the horrendous acts displayed on September 11, 2001 and will never ever forget where I was, my emotions, etc. My heart goes out to everyone who lost a loved one, knew someone who perished, knew someone who knew someone who died, or simply are still struggling to come to grips with the horrific acts.
However, I also wanted to wish a happy birthday, happy anniversary, etc to anyone and everyone who was born today, got married today, got engaged, got out of a parking ticket, was accepted into a sorority/fraternity, had their first kiss, fell in love, adopted a new pet, ANYTHING that would cause for a celebration.
While I am IN NO WAY trying to diminish or set aside the tradegy of this day, I also know that this day is special and happy for many as well. And I just wanted to say happy birthday, etc to those who have reason to celebrate today.
God Bless America and our troops

Both my husband and brother have Sept. 11 as a birthday so I thank you. They both had a decent birthday celebration this year. With all due respect to the victims and their families, it is nice to see a major step toward the healing in our country this year. It is important that we never forget...
