I am not a fan of Easter, Christmas, or Valentine's Day. Easter I never get to go home to see my family anyway so I'm always stuck at school by myself, Valentine's Day just sucks, and Christmas is so overdone it drives me crazy.
I do however looooooove thanksgiving even though I don't like any of the food we make. It's still fun.

You all have valid points, but I swear I can't think of a holiday I don't like. I love Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter...I guess I can thank my mom for that.

I like most every holiday, but unfortunately due to the unstable nature of my childhood, each holiday has a bitter memory attached to it so it's really hard to truly enjoy any holiday to its fullest. About the only holiday I don't really have mixed feelings about is the 4th of July. Kick back in the driveway, grill some burgers and hot dogs, drink root beer floats and attempt to set the house on fire with firecrackers. Good times, good times...

Valentine's Day
I hate Valentine's Day with a passion!!! Worst excuse for a holiday ever! If you love someone, you shouldn't have to wait until one day of the year to tell them that. It puts pressure and stress on people that are single and makes them question their self esteem and self worth. Also, I have a childhood trauma with Valentine's Day.

New Years. I dunno. I like New Years but it's not that big of a deal. I generally don't do anything fantastic and it's just another night of drinking and dancing but with a countdown.
I've also never been a great fan of Valentine's Day only cuz I've never had a wonderful valentine...or even when I did the whole event wasn't great at all....

I hate Valentine's Day with a major passion!!!!! I have not celebrated it since 1990 and I won't ever again, even if I have a boyfriend or husband. There is nothing like that stupid holiday to make single people feel guilty about not having a significant other. Besides there are 364 (365 for leap year) other days to show a friend or relative how much you care?

Thanksgiving.
I hate turkey, I hate stuffing, I hate cranberry sauce, I hate almost all the Thanksgiving foods. I don't like football that much, I think parades are boring . . . and do Americans really need an excuse to eat MORE?
My favorite Thanksgiving was the one when I was in Mexico and nobody was celebrating it.
I think the concept of Thanksgiving is great, but the rest of it, I could do without.

Valentine's day, for all of the reasons that everyone has said. Why should people wait one for one specific day to say they care? That's horrible! And all the pressure if you're single, or in a new relationship, or just getting out of one? No thanks! This last year, a bunch of single sisters and I spent the day at the bar and partying with everyone we knew. We had much more fun than any other sappy filled year. It's now our tradition!
