Linux is perfect for about 5% of the population. The rest should stick to Windows.

I'm such a geek it's unbelievable but I had to add something here. If you're upgrading from 98 all the way to XP check out your system specs. To make XP happy you want to be running at least 256MB of RAM. 128 will work.... but might drag a little.

Good point - it really depends on the rest of your box...mine was okay but it did make a big difference adding some more RAM - it's a cheap and easy way to spice up your computer.
