Well said sueali. We do have the right to our own opinions, especially since it involved our org. And I do have to say, ladies, that given the situation, we handled ourselves very properly. It could have gotten much uglier than it did.

I really didn't have that big of a problem til she began to refer to her group as Sigma Kappa for short. Then the whole dove issue and colors. I don't understand why greek letters must be involved if all she wants is a women's organization.

Ok, since you are speaking for your girls. If they read all the posts why are they condemning cristinasmile for things she had already cleared up, posted that she cleared up, and something that even another Sigma Kappa posted that was cleared up.

The hassling came after that was resolved.

In that case was it just to be mean? Is that how you believe Sigma Kappas are? Most of the ones I have met were quite nice and tolerant.

As you said you can discuss anything you want lol. I wanted to point out the inaccuracies in people's arguments.

Aren't you interested in the fact that you may be arguing issues that are wrong or have been cleared up?

And therefore are incorrectly portraying someone as evil when they are in fact not?

If you reread the threads you will see that people were mostly being mean to her after she cleared things up.

I will say that on the whole, I think the Sigma Kappas as a GROUP handled themselves very well and treated her posts with courtesy and seriousness. In fact they behaved much better than a lot of the other Sorority girls that posted from other Organizations.

I'm going to apologize a head of time, because I'm just a little annoyed with James post. This is our forum (not that other people can't post here), but even people from other org. were getting annoyed with her. I think we handled our selves in a very respectable manner, and we have the right to voice our concerns and feelings towards what happens, it is healthy to discuss these things and this thread wasn't meant to bash her but instead for us to talk about what happened. It's our right to talk about it, so leave us alone.

P.S. I think we all read all of the posts since it had to do with our org. thank you

Talking

I think this thread is a healthy discussion of our feelings and reactions to the whole incident. In my opinion, the thing is over, we're just "processing" what happened. I think lots of us were confused about her intentions but flattered. I'm not seeing anyone on this thread personally attacking her. And I did not see any Sigma Kappa attack her on any of the other threads. Members of other sororities "had our backs" and I appreciated that but I do kind of think that they maybe should have followed our lead, even if just a 'lil bit.

James, are you just trying to pick fights?? Don't say no, I know better.

In any case, if SK girls as a whole portrayed ourselves well, why the need to come on our forum and chastise us??

I say let it drop...Shyt happens, and it did..It's over with now and if we feel the need to backtrack and clear our minds, perhaps discuss what we were/are thinking, then so be it. K?

LAdies, am I the only one that actually read all the girls posts?

She says repeatedly that she is not going to use your history or symbols.

Yes, she originally said she would like to, which I fully understand, why reinvent the wheel.

But then she posts REPEATEDLY that she has talked to people and is no longer going to do so . . .

So why are people still hassling her? What is so difficult to understand?
(Also sorry to invade your forum, ladies . . . )

But James, I've had multiple run-ins with this Christina girl and she has always tried to start trouble. I'm not sure if she's a legitimate troll or just a troll who's too stupid to realize she's a troll, but either way she causes massive drama wherever she posts because of what is either:

1) a lack of understanding and comprehension which is taken to a ridiculous level
2) a desire to cause trouble and get people all riled up

Either way I don't think it's all that surprising that people get upset with her, nor is it unwarranted.
