I've been looking for a picture of our Grand President's pin for that thread (and can't ) but I did come up with the original ADPi pin, up until 1906:
It's the top one.

I believe that Pi Beta Phi, while offering many standard types, allows for special orders as well.

Hey Ariesrising...I'm not sure who makes our badges, but they can be ordered off the official site, where you can see different variations.
Just follow this link: click here!

Plain
Plain SS
Plain with 3 pearls
Crown Pearl YG (15 or 21)
Crown Pearl WG (no longer made)
Crown pearl, diamond tip
All diamonds
Alternating pearl/diamonds
|
This is a little off ... it's hard to find the info though!
You can get:
1) Plain yellow gold filled
2) Plain sterling
3) Plain white or yellow gold 10k
all the rest are white or yellow 10k:
4) Three pearls
5) 15 crown pearls (the 21 is no longer made)
6) Any number of diamonds to replace an equivalent number of pearls (just the tip is most common)

Looking over the different versions I've picked out favourites, and kind of surprised myself by liking more "plain" versions of some pins...I figured I'd go for the jewels. Like to me, Sigma Chi pins don't look right unless they're plain enamel. I just prefer it that way, even if it's the "cheap" version. Same with the DG anchor.

You'll think that way until you see a national officer's anchor. The fluke was all diamonds. Absolutely gorgeous!!
But the golden anchor is beautiful in all it's forms

Have you ever thought about Becoming a A I? I think You would be fantastic!!!!! But, the choice and work would be hard. I think you could get plent of Recs from members of G C!!!
I would like to A I you into LXA, but we have not gone co-ed yet!!!

I'm almost positive that Theta badges are made by Burr, Patterson -- if I had my magazine in front of me I'd know for sure. Apparently we've got one of those 'order it through the KAO site only' for security things going on.

Also, there's about a gazillion options for the badge that you can purchase, plus ones that the council wears that are often older versions with opals, turquoise, and other stones you can't currently buy through HQ. (As opposed to the one option you have on your site. )

AOII Badge
http://www.aoiiemporium.com/store/co...?idCategory=24
This is a link to AOII's badges.
My Badge Story:
My great grandmother, Mary King Mason, was an AOII at U of TN at Knoxville and I have her badge from 1924. It is unique because it is smaller in size and it has pearls on every part of it with a ruby in the A. Also, our chapter president's badge is white gold with diamonds all over it, it was from a chapter that closed in CO. I'm not sure how Nu Beta in MS ended up with it!
More information to come soon!

I had heard that Delta Zeta's badge was designed by Tiffany & Co.???
or maybe I am confused by this old post:
http://forums.greekchat.com/gcforums...eta#post148808
"Tiffany & Co. honored Delta Zeta several years ago by naming it the most beautiful sorority badge. "

I believe it was designed by individuals related to our Founders but can't remember names (so you're probably correct). But, it's not a Tiffany badge.

I'm not sure why we're not on their website though
I hope that helps!
I also think it's pretty neat that our badges can be attached to a pendant or ring!

BPA does do ADPi's badges, i think that they are not on their website because our badges can only be ordered first through Executive Office who then orders them through BPA.
