::gives a high-five to ChiOJenn:: hehehe.. go Mavs!

I talked to one of my friends yesterday (before gametime) about the Mavs & Spurs.. she said I'd be calling her later that night crying because the Mavs lost. I saw her on IM earlier today, and I said 'who was gonna call crying?" hehehe

Texas team, yes, but I've never, ever been a Mavs fan. Hell, I've never been to the DFW area. I'm proud that Texas teams are representing, but I'm rooting for my Spurs. Look at my GC handle. The SATX says it all.

Of course, the traditional mayoral bets were made between Mayor Laura Miller of Dallas and Mayor Garza of San Antonio... winner of the series makes the loser buy dinner and has to fly their city's flag until the NEXT NBA championships... So if you happen to walk by Dallas City Hall and see the city flag of San Antonio flappin' in the breeze, don't scratch your head wondering why...

I saw the game last night. If it wasn't for Dallas making 49/50 from the free throw line, they would have been buried big time by the Spurs. I smell 7 games between the two.

Well then I guess we can thank the Spurs for all those fouls to get them to the free throw line!

Well i am from oklahoma so i guess i am not getting this in state rivalry at its fullest but i am gonna have to go for the Mavs even though it is the Admiral's final bow. Either would be a good western conference champ. Though the idea of a team from Texas winning it makes me sick.

All you spurs fan...save the drama for your mama. I heard San Antonio is afraid, thats why they won't sell tickets online or to anyone north of Austin. Mavs all the way!

Come on y'all, lets be civil.

I agree, i was pretty surprised when the Mavs took game one, i think a lot of the Spurs and Spurs fans were taking them a bit too lightly.

If anything, this series just got interesting. It will go 7, but i still think that if the Spurs can stay out of foul trouble (or if they don't get soo many ticky-tack calls), get bench production, and try to keep the mavs off the line, SA will win.

I'm not wavering from my prediction of SA in 6 just yet though.

I agree with Kitso. But you folks also have to remember, the spurs and the mavs have the worst trio of referees( I hope I spell it right) working the series. there are some bad calls that will made by them, so I hope they let both teams play and not make any stupid calls.
