I like pointy-toe shoes, but not for everyday. Those suckers hurt my feet.

The whole peasant-rich bohemian look is an irksome trend.

"Look at the fonts from this school newspaper from ten years ago. They're all different; they look so GHETTO"

"I feel so GHETTO today"

"OMG! Your bracelet doesn't match your rings! And how can you wear those shoes with that top? You look so GHETTO today."
I agree. I shook my head once when I overheard two girls saying that christmas lights on palms trees are "extremely ghetto".

Or worse, once I wore a cute knitted hanky on my head and someone shouted "T, you're straight thuggin'!" Helloooooo that is NOT a DO-RAG!

OK, maybe this was a KY thing, but during my freshman year of college practically EVERY girl had a short haircut, but they would stick the top of it in this teeny weeny ponytail. *So many* people did that, and I never could understand why!

Oh, and the skunk look--you know, the dark hair with chunky blonde highlights...or worse yet, there's a girl at my school who has the top half of her hair blonde and the underneath half practically black!

Oh, everytime I went to the "rural" part of San Diego (El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside), EVERYONE would always say "The Walmart", not just "Walmart".

"I'm going to the Walmart for some shoes"

"Where are you going?" "To the Walmart"

Oh yes, they do...or they did, about 2 years ago. I was in Britain in the summer of 2001, and clothing with our flag was EVERYWHERE. I couldn't believe it. Everyone wanted clothes with the American flag. I found this really cute backless top at Internacionale that was made out of this chain-mail sort of stuff (only you couldn't see through it) but I just couldn't let myself buy it because it had the Stars and Stripes across the front and that went out over here, oh, when I was in junior high.

Hey now, there's nothing wrong with showing your toes if you're a girl and your toes are cute!

I see some very interesting "fashion" statements at work. It's hard to believe, but people ARE still wearing acid washed jeans. And I see many exquisite mullets every week.

Hey, I have muliple piercings, and I like them (but they're not ridiculous) I also have pink lipstick, but not that bright pink that goes along with the feathered bangs and dark roots of the 80's.

Gotta disagree with you on this one! I don't freestyle, and my perfect attack isn't great, but its a fun evening with friends. Plus, when I play a lot, it keeps me in shape.

Of course, the scene in Cali is wild compared to what we've got down here. We're lucky to have a mall with a machine, much less all those crazy arcades ya'll have.
