I'm not married right now, but I know eventually I want to be. I've dreamt of my Cinderella wedding since I was 6 yrs old

Pretty much EVERYONE I went to high school with got married right out of high school or a year or two after.. (except me and some of my friends of course). I don't think there is anything wrong with that, but I think I want to wait until I graduate from college and have a job. I have a long-term boyfriend right now, and I could totally see myself with him in the future

I'm not married, and don't plan to be within the next few years.

First of all, I'm young- won't even be 20 till late June. I want to know I can survive by myself before I have a relationship as long term as marriage. I'm also hoping to go to law school, so any marriage I end up having probably wont be till after that.

I feel bad for all the girls from my hometown who seem to see marriage and their association with a man as the only thing that gives them any value. I know so many classmates that married right out of high school, and their husbands are already screwing around on them. That upsets me.

I am single. Marraige to me is a bit overrated (NO offense to those who are married, please don't take this personally). I don't know that I need a piece of paper, a ring, or any ceremony to justify or validate my love for someone. Just my humble opinion and I don't expect anyone to agree (except the guy I fall in love with, lol, hopefully he doesn't want to rush me to a church).
