As a collegiate, we wore pin attire (suits, dresses, nice slacks, etc) to every chapter meeting.
As an alumna, it depends on the event. If its a formal meeting, we usually wear business casual and a pin. For social events, it just depends on what the occasion calls for.

what exactly is business attire these days?
the rules say business attire but with more and more businesses going to casual dress, in reality we wear business casual. But no jeans, sweats, shorts, tennis shoes, halter tops, etc.

When I was in a grad chapter, the meetings were casual. There was a good mix of women from all ages, and no one took it too far. Everyone looked lovely

Blue jeans and t-shirts all the way!! of course we have to dress up during formal events, but that's not often.

College chapter - anything goes for most meetings, business attire for monthly formal meeting.
Alumnae chapter - business attire.

Ditto. The Sergeants-at-Arms WILL turn you around if you're not dressed appropriately.

**clearing my throat**
Well at CHARLOTTE ALUMNAE of DST, business casual is what I was told, but as LadyGreek said that really does run the gamut as I saw today @ my first Charlotte Alumnae meeting.
Columbus Alumnae was a lot more conservative -- BUSINESS.
I saw open toed sandals today but no shorts or jeans or nothing.

BUSINESS CASUAL -- Blue dress shirt, black dress slacks, knee highs (accidentally mismatched ), and black loafers.

As I just attended my first chapter meeting yesterday *still smiling*, our attire is business casual with a slight edge towards the business side (skirts, hoisery, and heels/pumps).

We wear whatever to chapter but I think some groups wear pin attire. We have them Sundays at 8pm so the pj pants make an appearance by at least once person every week!! I wish we got dressed in pin attire. While I was Pres of the chapter I tried to dress nice if not in pin attire esp if a national officer was visiting...
