Question

zntke711....just out of curiosity, what is bush doing so bad/stupid that a trained monkey could do better? not trying to spark a huge debate, but i just don't know what he's doing that's not up to your monkey standards.....i think he's doing ok.....just didn't know if this was an opinion based statement, or something i needed to be filled in on.

Are you kidding? A trained monkey could do better than Bush.

Stan -

Here's a little background on Tipper & the PMRC. There might be better links out there, but it's real early in the AM.

Question

Wasn't this thread started so that we could all collectively shake our heads at another negative stab at greek life?

I didn't read in the original post where SigmaChiGuy asked for opinions on GWB, Dan Quayle, or anyone else...{AXO Alum shaking her head that everything is now assumed to be a platform for political stabs}

this seller is full of b.s., i was complaining when they ripped on Clinton too. Once he's president, let it go, you had your chance to rip on his past discretions. The white house is the finish line, and they both made it. SAFE!

and look at it this way, once you make it into such a position of power everyone and their brother is going to look at every little thing you've done in your life and blow it up into something huge.
example: clinton smokes pot.
well no kidding he probably smoked some weed in his day!! who didn't back then? even my parents smoked up every once in a while back in the 70's and earlier.
i just think we should look at the leader of the free world with a little more reality. we've probably done worse stuff at times. even though it's scary to think that some screw up like myself or others could end up leading our country, but you have to put some faith in his ability to run things.
at the very least just support him b/c he is our leader.
okay, i'm done with the soapbox, who's next?

some of country's greatest leaders weren't model citizens. Heck, all the famous presidents were heavy drinkers, so if you ask me, I feel better knowing my president isn't a goody-two shoes. It's a fine tradition, why break it

I look at it this way. It is a negative reference to greek life. On top of that in this day and age everyone sees it as alright to rip on our political leaders. I mean I may not agree with the democrats on alot of issues but I don't resort to personal attacks to speak out against them. When Kennedy was shot the nation morned whether they agreed with is policies and politics or not. I'm sure if something were to happen to GW you would have people left and right jump out saying it was a good thing. I'm sorry but even if you don't like the guy you need to respect that he is your president and my president. I didn't like Clinton but I still supported the decisions made by him even if I didn't agree with them. Why? b/c he was the president. Have some respect for the Office b/c I don't think anyone in here can say they have led a totally clean, pure, and blameless life.

Off topic but...Wouldn't it be nice to vote FOR a president instead of AGAINST a candidate you don't like? Sigh...
