The only person they should call if they have a question is the associate member educator or equvilent... that way there is only one person thats the official word and there is no room to get stories crossed, and if someone doesnt know something the blame rests on one persons shoulders.

I feel you with being in the founding class. When we had our first P.A. (pledge/NM) class, we had to constantly remind them that 9 weeks was nothing compared to our 2 YEARS, one of which we had to stay dry!

Yeah, saeems that clarity will be the best method. Use email reminders 3-4 times before an event and make sure they know what is coming up. As long as they know you are serious about them they will be serious about you.

From what Roseblum15 has descibed, it seems to me that they are pretty clear on when events are being held; they even changed one of the event dates. I'm sorry, if you're committed to being a part of the organization you'd do your best to remember the dates of events they're having, especially if your attendance is required. If you're that forgetful, mark it down so that you don't forget. Have a pledge sister(s) remind you. Something...

I agree with reminders (not so much, but whatever...), but this is a bit much. C'mon, they're not babies so why spoon feed them? Some of the responsibility has to fall on the NMCs. Afterall, they are working towards being in the organization.

We all know how much hard work and dedication goes into our events. If they can't appreciate that, or at the very least remember which events to attend, maybe they shouldn't be pledging. Seriously...

heres another update:

So far one girl has decided that she doesn't have time for sorority stuff so she has dropped out of the education process. This leaves us with two girls. I am thinking that another one will also drop out because her and the drop out are really good friends and don't seem to do anything apart.

So its looking like it will be a one person pledge class, I wonder how that will work.
