Iota Gamma at Cal-State Dominguez Hills hosted two informal recruitment parties. This was my first time being on the other side at the recruitment parties and pref night. It was quite a wonderful experience. Our first nite's theme was Mardi Gras. We had beads, mask making contest and a lot of sweet interested ladies. Our second nite we had 80's nite and that was really awesome! I can go on and on about the 80's. Everyone was dressed so cute! We had a lot of interested ladies sign up and a good number showed up at our recruitment parties and a fundraiser the next day and also to our Pref Night.

Hey Yvonne - Woohoo another Iota Gamma Sister signing in.

Well, today Iota Gamma pinned 8 new members. We will have a few more next week as some of the women weren't able to make it on short notice. We're halfway to quota right now. Hopefully we'll make it soon.

Yeah, so hopefully more ladies will be pinned next week. 8 is great, but the more the merrier!

Our quota is 18, I'm pretty sure. So I'm hoping that we reach that!

I am soo excited!!

Last night we PINNED 9 girls! we have doubled in size! We only got 3 in Formal when quota was 17, BUT we ended up getting 6 at COB and most from our Wish List! Vision REALLY WORKS!!!! IT DOES!!!!!!!!!! Our goal for the semester is to get quota, only 8 more. we have about 25 girls on the wish list at this time. I'm MRC so for me this is the Best feeling. I cried at Formal cause for the last 2 year the sorority has only gotten one girl, and ones that we have to blackball cause she just not Phi sig material! Yes, we only got 3 girls, but to us that means a lot. i was soo excited. And it was funny cause the girls who came back to our pref night. where girls invited to the two most popular sororities. so for the first time in about 4 years, the girls who were seriously looking at us were awesome. i think it shows that chapter has changed soo much. I was laughing when the two girls i had went to my best friends sorority cause we joke about sigma and us being twins. Well i gotta go, i will kept my Phi Sigma Sisters informed of all our get news.

Congratulations Binks!! Go Phi Sig! I agree with you that Vision totally works. We had an awesome turnout of girls at both of our first COB events of the year. Good luck with your recruitment the rest of the year

I am sooooo happy for your chapter !!! I know how it feels to get so far below quota at formal.. our chapter got 6 and quota was 18 the other two sorors on campus took quota... so we've been there... we have our first COB event tomorrow...so.... hopefully we will have a similar turn out and I will be posting happy new of new pinnings as well !!!

It's so great to hear things are working out for you!!! You're doing a great job!
My chapter doesn't have bid day til friday so I don't know how they're doing...but they have a large group of interested women.

gamma pi...university of md, baltimore county-> 9 new members! 2 more til we reach total and of course contunie as the largest chapter

gamma kappa...towson university-> 22 new members! (haha sorry kirsten, just had to throw that in)

Delta Psi ~ University of West Florida 8 members through formal and 10 through COB. Only 3 from quota...we are VERY happy with this!!!

Iota Gamma has 13 New Members.

We pinned eight last weekend, two this past Friday, and three today!

I think we're like only 5 women away from quota!!! How lovely!

Epsilon Chi got one member through formal recruitment ( a very, very small recruitment this year!) And 7 through COB (all pinned) thus far. They have 3 newly interested girls, SO they could possibly have 11 by the end of the week!!

Ok I just talked to my best friend, who is this year's archon, and tonight they pinned 14!!!!!! new members!!! and they will be pinning 2 more next sunday...and they still have many more women interested who just haven't come to a second event. Quota, set by Natinal, was 10 soo they've bypassed it already!

Congratulations Delta Epsilon!!!!

BTW - they only have 8 actives right now. The other sorority pinned 4 new members which is the norm around here, but we did start recruitment a week earlier than them (we set up tables during orientation week so ppl would stop by just to ask directions, etc)

I'm so happy!!!! I'm just tortured over whether or not I should take the 14 hr train ride (and spend thee $300) to go to Initiation in November!
