An Update!
Sorry, I keep forgetting to come here and update this thread.. I usually just update the one in the Alumni forum.
I didn't get a printed bid card (rats!) when I went to the collegiate event, but that's alright. Most of the chapter items were in storage, and it was the first meeting of the new semester, so things were a little up in the air. I met some really amazing women that night, some people I just know I'm going to learn to love once I get to know them better. I think I'm being groomed to take over the duties of collegiate advisor, but I'm not sure I'm ready to do that just yet... but heck, I love a challenge!
There's a collegiate COB event this Wednesday at a pottery painting shop, but I'm not sure I'll be able to attend. On Wednesday, January 22, I attend a ceremony (I'm not sure it's okay to say what kind), and by then I should have a clearer idea of when initiation will take place.
Initiation is being sort of rushed because in order for the chapter to foot the bill for my attendance at the Pacific Northwest regional conference, I'll have to be an initiated member. Seeing as how the conference is February 7-9, I think I could be a full fledged Phi in as little as three weeks!
I submitted my paperwork to EO electronically yesterday, so we should be receiving a reply from them in the next few days or so. This is a very exciting time for me, and I've never been happier. Pretty soon I'll be able to say [color=dark red]I'm an ALPHA PHI![/color]
