I have china from my grandmother's sister. I'm not sure what the pattern is, but it is beautiful. I personally like Royal Doulton Old Country Roses. It's a classic.

I have Lenox Classic Edition for my formal, although I really like Royal Doulton's Tennyson. My everyday is Mikasa Arabella.

I have my grandmother's china. It's very pretty but obscure -- the pattern is called Courtley and it was made by Meito Norleans (made in "Occupied Japan").

I also like a pattern by Pickard called Crescent -- it's very simple, with just a crescent of platinum on one side.

For everyday, I use Fiestaware. I have every color they've made over the past several years -- I think I have at least 15 place settings, if not more. I love it because each plate is a different color.

Lordie, lordie, have I stumbled onto the wrong thread! I may not know much about silver, but I am nuts about my china!

My wedding china is the Hamilton pattern by Lenox. Service for 12. I love it!

We fell in love with and purchased a second formal pattern at an antique shop from Noritake, called Graytone. Its a service for 8.

My mother gave us a service for 12 in the Lenox Eclipse pattern.

Finally, my grandmother gave us a gorgeous service for 8. Its an antique china pattern actually imported from China. It was given to her at her wedding in 1947. It has a country scene with ladies in kimonos and parasols on it...but here's the really cool part: When you hold an (empty) tea cup to the light, the bone is so fine that you will see the face of a lady carved into the bottom of the cup! Although its not to my personal taste, I love it! The craftsmanship is amazing, and has a lot of sentimental value attached.
