To buy a dating gift you need to know her first and its well enough to surprise her.
Flowers, chocolates, jewelry or piece of clothes would all work.

My best friend got a spa treatment from her fiancee...she LOVED it. I'd also recommend a spotanious trip somewhere close by that would be romantic and sweet?!?!

Moo, there's nothing I like better than a generous man.
Although you've already covered jewelry, there's never any harm in getting her more. After all, diamonds are a girl's best friend.
How about a modest diamond tennis bracelet? There is one to fit every budget, although I don't really think you even have a budget.
Some classic diamond studs, perhaps? Mounted in a metal that matches that of her necklace.
Perhaps you could buy her a lovely gold or white-gold, or heck, platinum, charm bracelet? Of course, just add a couple of charms to get her started, but let her fill up the rest of the spots. You could give her charms for other occassions, also!
My boyfriend is really big on the jewelry, because frankly, he can't think of anything else to get me, and let me tell you: I NEVER MIND! I think she'd love jewelry.
XOXO,
Annie.

The women on this site really love spending Moochagoo's money. He has set the bar high with those other gifts, but diamond earrings or tennis bracelet are quite luxurious. My ex-boyfriend did give me diamond earrings after dating for one month, but not studs. They were pretty hoops with small diamonds.

Why do they call it a tennis bracelet? Do you wear it playing tennis? Tennis shoes I understand. Don't get her those though.
Moochman..
Make her dinner. Something you actully have to make not just pasta. Remember red wine with red meat, white wine with white. Blush for seafood. (I think) If she doesn't usually like wine, then go with greek wine. It is less wine like than other varities. Then as you are finisining dinner, drop your fork. When you go to pick it up take the ring out of your pocket. You should be on one knee. Ask her dude. If she is worth that other stuff she is a keeper.

I agree with spa package or taking her away for a weekend. Sometimes an amazing experience is better than something material. BUT... if you want to go the material route, what about a nice watch... maybe Omega, Tag Huer or Rolex? I think a watch is nice because you wear it everyday and look at it all the time, so it is a constant reminder of the giver.

I believe that they call it a tennis bracelet because Tracy Austin used to wear one while playing tennis.
