Some of the stuff you guys collect is pretty interesting -- I like the pencils and coffee mugs. I should start making an effort to collect something. I've been thinking about collecting old clocks, but haven't really started. To me, that would be cool because I think they're neat, and my grandfather had a clock/watch repair/jewelry store after he came from Lithuania. I have an awesome old chiming clock from his old store, the really old kind run by weights.

The one thing I do collect, although I don't really make an effort, is fortunes from fortune cookies. I have a little urn that used to belong to my grandmother in my dining room, and for some reason I feel like I can't throw fortunes away, so I put them in there.

Heh, I also collect handbags.

valkyrie,

I also save those fortune cookie fortunes. I put them in my wallet, in my coin change area. My sister (biological) was doing it, I thought it was cool, so I started doing it.

I collect books and I am running out of room! I've had to donate a lot of them because my place was turning into a firetrap.

When I was little I used to collect thimbles, I forgot all about them until I went home last Christmas and found my precious collection in the basement. (I couldn't believe it survived my mother's regular purgings.) They were surprisingly sweet and now I have them back in my own home and they look great.
