I'm not a Star Wars fan so I would never really paid much attention to the release date. I finally realized that the movie was in theaters last night when I was at Universal Studios' City Walk. There's a movie theater there and I was walking to The Latin Quarter (dance club/restaurant/bar) I saw a group of people dressed exactly like the characters from the movie. Now, that's what I call a REALLY big fan!

Favorite lines by the dog were:

"Have you ever talked to a girl that didn't ask for your credit card number first?"

"Oh, so you are giving birth to a little nerd (to a pregnant woman)? In 6 weeks? Well that is the last time he will ever see female genitalia . . ."

(to the crowd) "The first question is: What was Han Solo frozen in? (the crowd answers correctly)" The dog replies," No! The correct answer is: Who gives a shit!."

The whole skit had me rolling.

That had to be one of the funniest things that I have ever seen on tv! Especially the pregnant woman!

How was it, without giving the story. I won't be able to see it till June 21st. Stupid delays. But I had one of my friend made us a jedi robe. So cool.

I found the movie to be a bit campy. I hope that Episode 3 is better. There were some parts where the entire audience was just laughing, and it wasn't a time when laughter is what George Lucas was going for. Less Jar Jar (which is good) but I think some of the dialogue could have been better too.

Whoever played Anakin was a miserable actor. It didn't help his lines were very corny, but he was supposed to be immature, but he acted like a five year old, not an 18 years old. I simply think had anyone else played that role, the movie would be 10 times greater than what it was. Like I said though, it didn't help when he had lines like "Without you, I can't breathe." What a corny attempt at a romantic line.

This film sets the audience up, however, greatly for the original star wars series though, leaving the next of the prequels to tye a ton of loose ends together. This movie introduces much of the characters and motives for the things we never saw in the original trilogy. Not so much that we fully understand...just that we see an unrest, that hopefully the final of the prequel trilogy will secure for us.

Talking Finally!!!

I'm a huge Star Wars geek... I use to be a part of the "Official Star Wars Fan Club"... I have movie literature saying the last Star Wars movie as "Revenge of the Jedi" rather than "Return of the Jedi"...

At any rate, don't you think that this whole Dark Side of the Force would've been averted if Annakin just got a little nooky from Padme... I mean, DAYUM already... Just put out and put his butt to sleep!!! I bet he'd been a little more relaxed...

What do you think?

Re: Finally!!!

I Agree AKA_Monet! Sooo much human pain and misery would be avoided if men just got some really good nooky . . often.

Seriosusly though, how many men would want to say, start a war after having amazing intimate sex? Hell, he'd probably sleep though the whole war cabinet meeting.

Don't hate...

'Cuz if you hate, it looks like you ain't gettin' any or it ain't good...

'Cuz if you were gettin' some and it was gggooooddd...

Then you'd have no reason to hate...

Unless you are into that S&M chit... And you need a Dominatrix...

I always say, make love, not war...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With this last movie, did anyone get the feeling that Count Dooku is somehow related to Anakin? Like his father... 'Cuz in episode 1, Anakin had a high concentration of "jedi juice"? Only a Jedi parent can give that high concentration of "jedi juice"... Hmmmm... And Shmi Skywalker didn't really have control over her impregnation... At least that is what she said... How'd she become a slave in the first place? Hmmmmm...
I saw Star Wars last week and I thought it was okay. I thought the first episode was better...just too much going on in this one I think. Like SigmaChiCard said, the dialog of the "romantic" scenes were corny.
I don't think Haden Christensen (sp?) is a sucky actor (I liked him in Life As A House), but I think the character was forced. I felt as though ALL the acting in the first half an hour was stiff...it got a little better as the movie went on.
The Yoda fight was definitely one of my favorite parts.
