I usually have a knack for listening to artists before they get famous. I was a big John Mayer and India Arie fan when they were just playing at local clubs in Atlanta.
My new favorite is Cody Chesnutt

You are so obviously from Wisconsin.
I saw the Gufs a couple years ago; they are awesome.

1- ATB
2- He does the club classic "9am Til I come" which you can probably hear in every night club nowdays.
3- Sunburn, First Love, Hold You, Let You Go, Hypnotic Beach, and basically every song on "Two Worlds."
1-The Donnas
2-Probably overplayed on MTV with "Take it Off" but they were in two movies that I know of, "Drive me Crazy" and "Jawbreaker." They were the band that played in the prom scenes.
3-Lots of good, possibly better songs on the album: It's on the rocks, You're not the one, too bad about your girl, Who invited you?...

I love the some of your guys' obscure artists!! me First and the Gimmie Gimmies are awesome! Dropkick Murphys, Mathew Goodband and The Ataris all kick ass.
Sunny Day Real Estate, Tea Party, Mathew Sweet, Prozac, The Meat Puppets, these are all great bands that you should check out on Kazaa. Some Canadian (I swear they keep all the good music for themsleves and give us Celine Dion and Bryan Adams).
Also, look for Cibo Matto (very fun Japanese duo), Tracy Bonham (had a hit a while back "Mother, Mother") and Merryl Bainbridge (another one had one hit then dissappeared. Remember "Mouth", well, that was her)
