The saddest part is that Walmart is where we go when we have nothing else to do, of course, we always try shopko first.. you know you live in a small town when WalMart is way more exciting than the mall....

My fiance joked about getting me a ring from Wal-Mart once too. How strange that guys think that's actually funny.

I don't shop at Wal-Mart. They have twice allowed someone to use my driver's license number on their checks without checking ID, and of course, she bounced those checks...It took forever to convince them that I had never been to those Wal-Mart stores, much less spent money there!!!!!!!!!!!

Wal-Mart as an entity makes me want to throw up. If there were 2 stores in town, and the other one was run by a guy named Jed who made me pay with chickens and sold moonshine out of a 50 gallon barrel, Jed would get all my business.

I don't know of any other corporation who has done so much to destroy so many small towns, and the dignity of the people who live in them. I don't consider underpricing everyone in town, driving them out of business, and then jacking your prices back up to twice what they were "smart business" or "capitalism in action" - I consider it shitty, repulsive and immoral.

Oh, and if that singing woman ever crosses my path, she will be at Wal-Mart permanently in the "corpse" aisle.

Hey what's wrong with the Palouse Empire Mall?! HAHAHAHA.. Sure it takes about a minute to walk the entire length of it and back..

I am laughing my head off about the Wal-Mart comments because they echo my sentiments exactly! The only thing worse than actually going there is being subjected to the stupid commericals. I would comment on them, but everyone has such a good job already!

Sometimes we go there just to laugh at people and come back with stories to tell other people as sad as that is. The stores are usually such a mess, I just love having to weave through crap in the aisles and idiots gawking over stuff on sale. I just want to scream, "yes, I am sure Billy Bob would love a new nose hair trimmer and it's such a good deal too!".. ugh.. The thought of buying fresh groceries there makes me sick!

Keep the Wal-Mart stories coming!

Talking too funny!!!

I totally agree with everyone ragging on the Wal-Mart commercials!! The Wal-Mart where I live is so horrible! The commercials do not come close to describing the Wal-Mart where I live. I don't know which is worse--the cashiers who obviously just barely passed high school or the customers who have not bathed since high school! It is such a bad experience that I drive 30 minutes to the nearest Target instead! It is always clean and the cashiers are much nicer.
Oh and the commments about the engagement rings cracked me up because that is where my snobby step-sister bought hers!!!! She thought she was so cool because her fiancee is a medical student. If she only knew how much my ring cost (from a medical student also) she would drop the "I am better than you because I am younger and getting married first" attitude! Wal-mart engagement ring--white trash! lol!

Someone needs to do an internet search and find a WEHATE WALMART.COM site or something that mocks the store.

As for me...its creapy...... The super walmarts have every need covered, pharmacy, autoshop, groceries, photolab, photo studio, bank, diner, optomitrist, mcdonalds, hair salon, jewler, nail salon, garden center, petshop, and craftstore. Now I am just waiting for "Wal-Mart Religion Center." The only area they havent tried to worm their way into.

Also, blue smocks with screen printing on the back saying "May I help You?" is just too cultish for me.

Only a fellow cougar would know about the Palouse Empire Mall!!!! Isn't it just scary that it can be called a mall at all? I guess all you have to have is a Bon... but I don't think that there national sales reps have been there for a while.. it's looking a little rough. But then again, there's always Adams mall, now that's a place I like!

I've been caught..haha.. The quality of the Bon there is definitely lacking, but there is always the Buckle, which I am guessing will be pulled out of there sometime soon like everything else has. Now is Adams mall the one in Lewiston? That one is way worse than the Empire..haha.. I am pretty used to it though since I am from the rural East side of the state anyway and know that it is necessary to make the trek to Spokane or Seattle to shop. The Wal-Mart isn't too bad there just because it is all students that shop there, but I only go there to get some laughs or else its Shopko for me.

No, not the one in Lewiston, although I have heard horror stories. But hey, at least they have a Costco there! Adams mall is the little building right next to Papa Johns, with Shakers, Corner Mart, and of course, Pita Pit and Nacho Man! I wish we could have a real mall here, but I guess I'll just have to settle for Shopko and.. oh wait.. that's it.

My friend works at Wal-Mart and I'm really starting to think that it is a cult like you all keep saying. Employees there have to do this thing called "cost comp" or whatever, and my friend hates it with a passion--she has to go to competing stores like Target or Meijer with this little scan gun and get the prices of certain items. People who get caught doing this are understandably asked to leave those stores, and my friend is scared to death she'll get caught and embarrass herself in front of everybody. I know Wal-Mart does this to make sure they have the lowest prices in town, but it seems unfair to me even though it's evidently not illegal.

I wouldn't care if the prices at Target were (or are) higher-I prefer to shop there. What is sad is I own Wal Mart stock but do not shop there nor do I want to.

Talking ROTFLMAO!!!

The Super Wal-Mart in mycollege's town is supposedly the largest one in Middle Tennessee, and trying to find a parking space there is *almost* worse than trying to find a parking space on the MTSU campus (which is next to impossible). I dread having to go there, because the lines are endless and there never seems to be more than four registers (out of what... 10... 15?) open at once, no matter how crowded the store is. Sadly enough, Wal-Mart is a staple store for most of the students at my school to buy food and toiletries.

That reminds me... my senior year of high school (last year actually), my Government teacher made us create videos about past presidents and do some kind of biography or creative show about them. One kid in my class did a documentary on Bill Clinton, and of all places, the setting of the documentary was at WAL-MART!!! Basically this boy walked around a Wal-Mart in a very redneck part of the metro Nashville area, and walked up to everyone he could find (all of whom had mullets ---even the little kids!!!), and asked their opinion on Bill Clinton. The responses of these trashy mullet-baring people were hilarious! At the beginning of the video, the boy even made a disclaimer:

"The haircuts which you are about to see are not condoned by the director of this film or by _____ High School. If you are faint of heart or under the age of 16 you should not view this film. I will not be responsible for any laughter that may occur while listening to the opinions of the Wal-Mart goers portrayed in this film."

Sam Walton is the Devil!!!

I can't stand Wal-Mart, yet it has every thing I need!!! Dilemma, dilemma. It's a college town's largest entity. I'm convinced that the Wal-Mart corporation share the responsibilty with the oil; companies in holding the world hostage. Ever take a look at the recent World's Wealthiest People list compiled by Forbes?? Well, Sam Walton's decendants are the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th richest in the world RESPECTIVELY!!! A new age Rockefeller family, or future global grand poobas?? i can't decide.
