Obviously, this girl is someone who doesn't care one bit about sisterhood. Unfortunately, a lot of girls join sororities for superficial reasons. It's their loss if they can't understand or appreciate the true meaning of sisterhood and the advantages it brings.

I'm sure that Delta Zeta HQ would have jumped on this situation had they been contacted about it at the time. We try to check girls out very carefully when they rush.

I recall one instance 2 years ago when we checked a legacy rushee's credentials and found out that her mother, who claimed to be a DZ, was actually a DZ pledge who had transferred schools and gone Tri Delta at her new school back in the 70s. It took a lot of digging, but the chapter was very glad to find that information, because it meant that the girl could be cut. Up until that point, her supposed legacy status was the only thing keeping her on the invitations to the house, since many of the girls found her to be rude during the parties.

I know I've only been pledging for a few weeks so far, but as a house (meaning the traditions, history,etc...) I like the first house i chose more. Plus I also feel a lot of loyalty to them as well.
Hey GreekGirl! Just to let you know...I go to a small school with only 5 sororities. Roughly 25% of our campus is Greek, so it's definitely not as big as it is at some schools. But that doesn't make our sisterhood any less special. It's all about the fun your sorority makes for themselves on campus, through involvement, socials, whatever. The most important thing is to be a member of a group where you feel comfortable, happy, etc. I guess my advice is not to choose a group based on which school seems more "Greek-oriented" but rather choose based on where you most feel like a sister. Best of luck
